Floral Frock

Short dresses are my go-to option for when I have nothing else to wear in mind. Thankfully, I have quite a few of them in my closet. This pink floral bateau neckline dress is one of my favorites because it is simple, easy to wear, and ultra chic. The length of the hemline is just right and it offers excellent fit. However, since the fabric is a bit loose, I like accentuating it with a belt around the midsection in order to create more definition in the shape. It's amazing what difference a slight addition of a belt can make!

Green with Envy

Emerald Green is the color of 2013, as predicted by fashion experts and trendsetters in the biz. This got me quite excited because I love the color green and always drawn to it, regardless of shade. Aside from blue, it is also my favorite color to wear. This color remains visible in red carpet and street style fashion, which is why I was delighted when I found these cute green pieces while window shopping online (yes, I do that a lot!). If you're into this color, too, then you might be able to get inspiration from these green fashion items. Click on the link below if you're so inclined:

Fash Love: Versace Resort 2014

Year in and year out, I always look to designer fashion for inspiration on new trends in the fashion industry. It is awe-inspiring how some of the top fashion designers in the industry are able to come up or revamp trends to make them seem fresh all the time. The resort collection is one of those that I always look forward to because this is when colorful, vibrant, and edgy style meet. Case in point: Versace's Resort 2014 collection. If you're looking for simple, sophisticated, and cutting-edge styles, you got it here.

Colors range from classic yellow to soft pastels to basic black and white. The defining element in all of these pieces is the formation of silhouettes from the form-fitting frocks to the snug blazers that should make you look fabulous on your next vacation.

Check out below for some of my favorite pieces off of Versace's Resort 2014 collection:

Isn't this collection gush-worthy?

Cheetah Girl!

There is nothing like leopard & cheetah prints to make a style statement. I had been on the prowl (oops, pun intended) for these prints but haven't had much of a success. I guess I should go back to my old, impulsive ways wherein I simply grab whatever I could find because I end up being frustrated when I come into the mall or shop looking for something, only to be unsuccessful. But I digress, this cheetah print top is one of my latest purchases. I love that it's a sleeveless top because I can opt to wear it with cardi or simply pair it with black leggings and each would bring forth two different looks.

Nonetheless, I am excited to try out this trend and look forward to trying out different looks in the future.

What To Wear: Bridesmaid Dresses

A few weeks ago, I received a Facebook chat message from my cousin, who asked me if I wanted to be a part of the entourage for his upcoming wedding. Of course, I readily agreed because 1) he is my favorite cousin, and 2) I knew it was another opportunity to dress up (ha!). But before it even sunk in, I found the latter linger in my thoughts for a while: what do I wear? We haven't talked about the details yet but I already have a few dress ideas in mind.

One thing is for sure - I want short bridesmaids dresses. The traditional dresses for bridesmaids are often long but styles have changed over the years such that short dresses are now the "in" thing. Last week, I've shared some outfit ideas for guests to a casual beach wedding (check it here). This week, I have a few dress ideas and styles that I am lusting over that I wanted you to have a look at:

Statement Tees

T-shirts are the most basic article of clothing in the fashion industry. And while some have relegated basic tees for everyday wear, aka non-fashionable, I'd like to think otherwise. I've seen several celebrities and fashion icons that wear basic tees and turn them into fashionable looks with the right pair of pants or skirts, or accessories. But one of the best things about wearing tees is the ability to customize its design or text. It's fun, quirky, and will surely grab attention!

Here is one statement tee that I wore recently. Love the color - plus, it's the perfect excuse to dress down!

What to Wear to a Casual Beach Wedding

June is famously known for being the wedding month. Indeed, a lot of women aspire to become a June bride, so don't be surprised if your mailbox start to fill up with wedding invitations. It is also summer in the US, although start of the rainy season here in the Philippines (insert frown here), so a lot of these weddings tend to take place in the beach. There is a wide range of beach wedding dress for brides who want to look their best. But if you've been invited to a beach wedding, the next big question you often find yourself asking is this: what to wear?

Don't stress yourself out trying to find the perfect dress. Here are some tips that will help make your search a bit easier:

Think about a dress that would fit the beach. Anything floral or a sundress would work in this sense. However, pay close attention to the wedding invitation if its a casual or semi-formal beach wedding. You can play up your accessories to end up with a casual or semi-formal attire even when you're wearing a sundress or floral maxi to the event.

Choose practical, not tacky, footwear. You can go for flats or peep toes. And no, flip-flops are a no-no even for casual beach weddings.

Consider the elements. Don't wear dresses that are too light as they might be blown off by the ocean breeze. Also, think about the sand when you are determining your footwear and the length of your dress.

Here are three outfit ideas that you can play with or get inspiration from:

Lulu's Sale Alert

Lulu's is one of my favorite online shops because of their wide array of chic and trendy items that are also reasonably priced. In fact, you've seen me feature their black & white pieces and mint items in the past via this blog. But when I visited their shop recently, I found out that they have a sale on! Yes, you heard it right - a sale! Some of the items are even down by as much as 50%! Make sure to head on over to their site to check out the sale items.

Meanwhile, you can check my favorite picks off of their sale items below:

Beach-y Casual {Part 2}

If you're reading this, then chances are you have seen the first part of this series with my casual look on the beach. If not, you can head here. This second outfit I will be featuring is still a casual look although a more feminine one. This top is one of my faves from Invogue Collections - a blue floral top with peter pan collar. I love that the collar details are made from pearls! It's too cute, isn't it? It's just a little too delicate when it comes to washing, though, but totally worth it. And it doesn't hurt that I'm a fan of floral to begin with.

I went with a denim short to pair this top because I wanted to neutralize the busy pattern up-top coming from the floral top and embellished neckline. I also wore my strappy flip-flops from Ipanema for a beach casual look that is still chic!

Introducing the June Bride...

Don't let the title trick you - I am NOT getting married soon! But with lots of friends and acquaintances tying the knot, I can't get my friends off of my back who are probably more excited that I get hitched than I do. Don't get me wrong - I love the boyfie but I am having so much fun living the single life that I don't think I'm ready to give it up just yet. Yet is the operative word there.

Anyhow, this post isn't about me, but rather my weird obsession for wedding dresses. I find myself browsing wedding dresses more than I need to. I even have a board-full of dress ideas on my Pinterest account. I'm wondering if this is an unhealthy obsession? But I bet you can't help it, too, if it's as cute as the ones I spotted at PersunMall's website, of which I was just recently introduced to when their marketing manager wrote me an email for a blog collaboration. I mean, I felt my jaws drop looking at these pretty dresses. Wouldn't you?

They have tons of choices on the website based on your kind of wedding dress, as well as other selections such as sexy prom dresses 2013, but I just picked out my personal faves. Which dress is your favorite?
