Cobalt & Coral

I hate cold weather. I have such a low tolerance for the cold that I'd always find myself longing for hot weather so I can go out, go swimming, or just do something that does not require me to be draped in thick jackets or blazers to fight off the biting cold. But with the changing season, I have found consolation in coping with the cold weather and keeping up with my style. I have to make do as I wait for the warm weather to come rushing in again.

I wore this cobalt blue tank top post-gym because I wanted something comfortable to wear. But my need to be comfortable defied logic as I quickly realized that it would be too cold to wear at night. Cold nights in the Philippines don't really get to below-zero, but still it is cold! Hence, my coral scarf came to the rescue! I quickly improvised my outfit so that I can wear the tank top that I wanted, not feel too cold, and still look chic!

How did I do with my improvisation?

Delicate Floral

The boyf complimented that I was the picture of summer and femininity when I wore this outfit to work one day. This is one of those dresses that I loved a lot when I recently bought it but then got over the infatuation phase and has been forgotten for a certain period of time. But I did some digging again and found it to be one of those precious few that I had neglected. I bought it for a summertime event that I attended but when I put on this mustard cardigan, it was good enough to be worn at the office.

Thus, this floral dress came in handy when I decided to don a girly ensemble one day. Don't you just love it when you wear something that suits your mood, looks chic, and feels comfortable, too? It certainly does feel like I struck the outfit jackpot when I donned this dress! And when it gets the boyf's approval, what else can I ask for?

Is my floral obsession sooo yesterday - or anyone else still donning floral?

Easy Breezy

Even when my closet is packed, there are a few pieces that emerge as favorites that I confess to wearing again and again and again. You get the point. Then, there are also those pieces that you rely on for certain occasions or activities. When I put on this knitted shoulder, flowy top, I am taken back to summertime. I purchased this top this year and have worn it few times already, but I can tell you, it served its purpose during summer. In fact, I've dubbed it as one of my summer wardrobe essentials.

The flowy and cool fabric was a great escape from the summer heat. Plus, the knitted shoulder detail also exudes a sexy but comfy vibe. I loved pairing it with shorts or leggings. But I took a risk and opted to wear it even when summer is long over. I went with denim skinnies for an easy breezy day look.

Do you also have a favorite that you love wearing over and over?

Love Me Some Lace

When in doubt, wear lace. That appears to be my styling motto as of late. That... or my undying love for lace is bound to stay there forever. And with the emergence of different pieces made from lace (from skirts to skorts, etc.), there has been a seemingly endless array of ways to style them. Hence, I continue to embrace this trend no matter what time of the year or prevailing trend might be.

Case in point: this halter lace top that I wore one day. I've had this for a long time but haven't worn it that much (or let's just say as much as my other lace pieces). So I felt like it was time to give it the love it deserved. I went for a casual look, though, because the lace detail on this top made it look very feminine. I added my statement necklace to give it some edge. A pair of denim skinnies helped to complete the look. I'd like to call it a bit more dressed up casual look.

Are you still crazy about lace? Yes? No?

Tribal Craze

I'm noticing a pattern in few of my recent purchases wherein a lot of the items I picked up were made of tribal/aztec prints. It seems as though the bug hit me. But who can resist? Tribal and aztec prints are the easiest way to add more pizzaz to a casual look.

Case in point: this new tribal print top that I picked up. I paired it with dark skinnies and added a statement necklace. Statement necklaces never fail to revv up a basic tee or patterned tee even when paired with skinny jeans.

How do you spice up your everyday outfit?

The boyf and I attempted a selfie after doing these shoots and it didn't turned out so well. Lesson learned: selfies aren't made for me. Better luck next time! How was your weekend?
