How to Dress Up Graphic Tank Tops

OUTFIT DETAILS
Top: CNDirect (c/o)
Skirt: Oasap (c/o)
Shoes: Soludos (sold out, similar)
Bag: Kate Spade

Do we have graphic tee addicts over here? I'd like to know that I am not the only one who is loving them at the moment. I love the addition of fun quotes and sayings on what would rather be a plain tee or tank top. This is another one to add to my collection.

Since this tank top is rather simplistic, I wanted to dress it up a little bit and give it a 'girly' makeover. How much more girly can you get with a blush Kate Spade tote, ruffle hem skirt, and lace up espadrilles? I've gotten a ton of great feedback from my readers about this skirt when I featured it on this post. Hence, I knew that it was going to make its return to my blog sooner or later. Going back to this graphic tank top, I love the ease that it offers to any outfit. No wonder I've been wearing it non-stop since I got it.

I'd like to pick your brain a little: how would you style this graphic tank top?

Soludos: Summer Shoe Wishlist

Your choice of footwear is a crucial component of your summer outfit. Not only does it tie all of the fashion elements of your outfit together, but it is practical in terms of comfort. You want your summer footwear to be comfortable, breathable and easy to mix and match with various other pieces from your summer wardrobe. For this reason, I like to wear espadrilles. The foot bed is comfortable enough for walking around but cool enough so you can stay fresh in them. For traveling, they are also lightweight so they are easy to pack into your luggage. I always prefer to bring a carry-on luggage with me and I haven't had problems packing them.

When it comes to manufacturing the cutest espadrilles, nothing beats Soludos. This brand is my go-to when it comes to espadrilles - in fact, the first pair of espadrilles I got is from Soludos. The brand's range of espadrilles offer the perfect mix of comfort and style. I have a few new designs from them that I have my eye on:

one / two / three / four / five

Below are some of the ways I've styled my Soludos on the blog in the past:

Do you like wearing espadrilles too? What is your go-to brand?

Tie Dye

Dress: Zaful (c/o)
Bag: Deux Lux
Shoes: Soludos
Watch: JORD (c/o)

I'm going to be honest: I once averted wearing tie-dye prints. I associated them with hippies and counter-culture, of which I am not against at all - it's just that I don't associate my personal style with that. But when I saw this shirt dress from Zaful, I was once again compelled to step out of my fashion comfort zone and venture into unfamiliar territory.

Styling this dress was quite easy though. I knew exactly how I would wear it when I saw the dress on the website. In fact, I specifically ordered this for a simple, casual look that would go well with espadrilles and a carry-on tote. I can tell you this: this dress is one of the most comfortable dresses I've ever owned. And the slit is a bonus - it's simply too hard for me to turn down a dress (or skirt) with slit!

What is your take on tie-dye fashion: love it or hate it?

The It Bag

Bag: 88 Handbags (c/o)
Romper: Shein
Watch: JORD (c/o)

Saddle bags are without a doubt the must-have bag of the season. Summer is all about choosing minimalist styles and saddle bags fit that bill. It is large enough to carry your essentials (i.e. wallet, cellphone, lipstick or lip balm, etc) but small enough to make a chic accent to your outfit. As much as I love a handy tote, I have this irritating habit of trying to carry too many stuff into my tote.

But with a saddle bag, you can easily wear it across your shoulder and your hands are free! It is definitely a great bag to wear when you are out and about. This saddle bag from 88 Handbags provided the perfect compliment to my new romper from Shein. I am so excited to finally get my hands on this romper, by the way. The first time I saw it, I fell in love with it. I added it to my wishlist but the moment I decided to buy it, it had gone out of stock! But when it went back on stock last month, I hesitated no more and purchased it ASAP!

Do you love the embroidered romper and saddle bag combo as much as I do? I think I found my new favorite outfit combo for the rest of summer!

Plaid Midi + Lace-Up Espadrilles

In the summer time, I like to keep my style easy and laid back. It starts with choosing pieces that are made of lightweight materials like this flowy plaid midi dress from BB Dakota. I have wanted a shirt dress for so long but I could not find the style that I want. This button front midi dress is the next best thing to a shirt dress. Even though I am a maxi lover at the core, I have gotten to appreciate midi dresses as of late. They are proving to be as versatile as maxi dresses are in terms of being able to dress them up or down. I got the dress in small but it appears longer to me as I am petite.

To complete my casual summer look, I need an equally comfortable pair of shoes. And what better type of shoe to wear than espadrilles? I've been seriously lusting over all kinds of espadrilles this season - espadrille flats, lace-up espadrilles, wedges espadrilles, and so on. This pair from Soludos (and it's only $55) was the ultimate choice because it is versatile enough to be paired with a few other summer pieces in my closet. It's a must-have if you are looking for a new pair!

What would you consider is your summer essential?

Sporty Chic

Growing up, my fave Spice Girl was Sporty Spice. Even though I am a girly girl, I do believe that I have a sporty side to me as well. I like to engage in sports (particularly basketball and volleyball - both to play and watch). In fact, a few people are surprised to know that I was actually part of the varsity women's volleyball team in our school. That is one side of me that I like to unleash from time to time.

I also like to extend my sporty side when it comes to fashion. Sure, I love wearing heels and pointy flats to create a feminine look, but I like to trade that with espadrilles and sneakers from time to time. This look showcases those days. I wore this knit sporty dress with my new fave comfort shoes from Soludos. When I purchased this particular shoes, I only had one thing in mind: summer. It is super comfortable and easy to style - such a versatile piece. But I had to say, pairing it with this Newchic dress is my favorite. I suggest you check out Newchic - I have to confess I did not keep my expectations up. But they blew me away! All the pieces I got were of excellent quality given the corresponding price tag.

Do you have a sporty side, too?
