Soludos: Summer Shoe Wishlist

Your choice of footwear is a crucial component of your summer outfit. Not only does it tie all of the fashion elements of your outfit together, but it is practical in terms of comfort. You want your summer footwear to be comfortable, breathable and easy to mix and match with various other pieces from your summer wardrobe. For this reason, I like to wear espadrilles. The foot bed is comfortable enough for walking around but cool enough so you can stay fresh in them. For traveling, they are also lightweight so they are easy to pack into your luggage. I always prefer to bring a carry-on luggage with me and I haven't had problems packing them. 

When it comes to manufacturing the cutest espadrilles, nothing beats Soludos. This brand is my go-to when it comes to espadrilles - in fact, the first pair of espadrilles I got is from Soludos. Save or Splurge: Leggings

The first edition of the Save vs Splurge series for 2017 is about leggings. Leggings are one of the most important parts of my fitness routine. You need to have high quality yet fashionable leggings to wear to the gym. When you look good, you are more inspired to workout! I am touching on this topic because I know that there are a lot of people out there who put "working out more or staying active" as part of their new year's resolutions (and I also notice a huge flock of new members at the gym during this time of year - I wonder why!).

Fashion Pairing: High Neck Top + Statement Earrings

A statement jewelry is an important part of any fashionable woman's arsenal. It can provide that stylish twist to an outfit to make it look more dressed up or polished. However, you can only achieve that if you can strike up the right pairing. There are different ways to accessorize different necklines or type of dress. Make sure you get the pairing right to maximize the style statement that you can deliver. 

When it comes to styling high neck pieces (such as a top or dress), you can make them stand out even more with statement earrings. High neck tops have that elegant flair to them but you can make it even more glamorous by pairing it with statement earrings. I've always been of the opinion that red and leopard is a classic combo! I am therefore drawn to this pairing and it never gets old for me. The vibrant red with the statement leopard print is a nice way to elevate a simple look, such as this one that pairs a simple V-neck shirt from Shein with shorts from Choies.

Even though shorts are known as casual items, there are plenty of ways to dress it up. Dressing up shorts is definitely easier than you think, and you don't always have to pair it with heels just so you can elevate the style. If you're like me who hates wearing high heels all the time, listen up to these tips.

My first idea is to pair the look with statement earrings. In this outfit, I am wearing my blue tassel earrings from Adia Kibur. Do not be afraid to make a big statement with your earrings! Even when you are wearing a simple top (like I did here), don't hold back when it comes to your earrings because this will add that style statement you need.

Another way to dress up your shorts is to add some sparkle. In this case, I used my metallic clutch from CNDirect to add a layer of sparkle. I'm sure you can find a dressy clutch in your closet somewhere so add that into your outfit for an unexpected detail. Aside from your clutch, you can also add other sparkly accessories to complement your shorts outfit (such as a belt or blazer).
