Hair Care and Bath Essentials

I used to not give much thought to the shampoo and conditioner I use on my hair. But my experience working with hair care professionals and as a professional hair blogger has taught me otherwise. Every hair type is unique. Therefore, every individual has unique needs that must be met as far as hair care is concerned.

I recently switched up my hair care routine to focus on hair products that nourish and repair from within. Argan oil is one of the most lauded natural ingredients that is believed (and backed up by research) to offer amazing benefits to your hair. Think of it like coconut oil. These two are some of the best natural oils you can use on your hair.

Today, I am giving you a glimpse into my hair care routine and the products I use to nurture my hair from inside-out:

Organix Argan Oil Conditioner

I've never heard of Organix before until I saw it on the grocery one day. I immediately looked it up online when I got home. I read lots of great reviews about this conditioner and the brand in general. Thus, I gave it a try myself. So far, I've experienced impressive results with the use of this conditioner. It has definitely strengthened my strands and leave it feeling soft. As of this writing, I've been using the conditioner for only over a week so I will continue to see its effects on my hair. I bought this 385 ml bottle for 500 PhP or approximately $12. As the name indicates, it is an organically made hair product. Yay to cruelty-free brands!

Pantene Anti-Breakage Shampoo

I have naturally fine hair. Therefore, I want to use a shampoo that is designed to fortify each strand to avoid breaking. The bonus with the Pantene Pro-V Anti-Breakage shampoo is that it comes with a nice fragrance and is silicone- and paraben-free. You can buy your own bottle at your local grocery or drug store - this 375 ml bottle cost me aroun 250 PhP or $6.

Bench African Shea Butter & Olive Oil Body Scrub

This is one of my favorite body scrubs, ever. When I first tried using the Bench African Shea Butter and Olive Oil Body Scrub, it was by chance. I was still on the hunt for the perfect body scrub then. And I have never used a different body scrub again. I can never do without it! Visit your local Bench store for this body scrub at PhP 150.

Vidal Sassoon Premium Color Care Shampoo

When I recently colored my hair, I switched to using a color protect shampoo. This one from Vidal Sasson is what I picked. This shampoo-conditioner set is designed and formulated to protect hair color from fading quickly. Like the Pantene Pro-V Anti-Breakage Shampoo, the beautiful scent is a bonus! I tried another color care shampoo from Garnier but I eventually switched back to using this one. The shampoo and conditioner can each be bought at 200 PhP or $5.

Schwarzkopf Ultimate Repair Mask

This is the latest addition to my hair care routine. Since returning from Malaysia, I noticed my ends have become dry and damaged. As much as I love Malaysia, the hard water and the heat combined to cause damage to my hair. I decided to take my hair care routine up a notch by incorporating this intense repair product from Schwarzkopf. This is one of the leading hair care brands in the world. And I noticed that it is infused with a nourishing oil to bring back moisture into my strands. I also recommend this for over-stressed or over-processed hair - so good!

  1. I love Organix, I have used it for a pretty long time. I do switch up hair products through out the year but each summer I always go back to that. I find it helps not only with "damaged" hair but helps you face the sun daily and the aftermath of that on hair.

  5. Oh, three cheers for argan oil! I've heard a fair amount about the one you're currently using, however I'm still working my way through a previous argan oil purchase right now - it's like a miracle product for the hair, right?! :)
