Below are some of the pieces I've scoured online with cheaper and higher end options, depending on your budget range:
Black Tassel PU Leather Boots / Oscar de la Renta Jeraline Booties |
Red High Heel Pumps / Sergio Rossi Godiva Pumps |
Manchester Plaid Scarf / Kate Spade Woodland Plaid Scarf |
Leopard Fur Pony Clutch from Lulu's / Clare V Leopard Fold Over Clutch |
Black PU Leather Bucket Bag / Michael Kors Miranda Bucket Bag |
When it comes to buying cheap items versus more expensive designer items, the debate between quality vs cost always comes up. It is up to you to decide which of these two you prefer. What kind of shopper are you?
So many amazing steals! Love that bucket bag!

I'm definitely a saver - I feel like I'm really good at finding quality things for a good price! You're right though. Quality is really important. What's the point of buying something for cheap and having it fall apart? Those Oscar de la Renta shoes though! I swoon over his stuff a lot but then I see the price tag and I'm like forgetaboutit. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a saver and I loved how you showed both pieces to compare! Such a great post and I hope you had a day as wonderful as you!

I'd splurge on those red shoes and the Kate Spade scarf. Everything else...I'll take the saves :)

I agree, I think it's all about finding a balance of what to splurge on and what to save on :)

I agree and like to save on trendier pieces. I'm loving both the save bucket bag and leopard clutch!

I love these kinds of posts! I agree, I like to invest in designer pieces when needed because the quality is always better, plus they don't lose a lot of value, if and when you want to sell them to make more room in your closet :) For trendier pieces, I never splurge because I don't find it necessary to invest in something that will be stale next season.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post, girlie; thanks so much for sharing!

You did such a great job putting this post together! I love the bucket bag, you really can't tell the difference between the save or splurge item.

Love this post and couldn't agree with you more! Although I think I'm a bit of both depending on what the item is. Sometimes I like to splurge because I get a lot more use out of the item. This usually applies to bags and coats especially. I've actually been eyeing that leopard clutch from Lulus for a few weeks now and I told my boyfriend I wanted it for xmas since the Claire V one is pretty expensive, it sold out!! I was so disappointed because I've been trying to find the perfect leopard clutch forever without breaking the bank!
