Coat via Fashionmia |
The weather hasn't been the best recently. Since the new year, it has been raining non-stop. I have spent my days at home and I can't even be bothered to go out. But then I quickly reminded myself of my goals for 2017. I can't start the year slacking off. There I was braving the rain in an effort to shoot some photos for this blog.

I was also slightly thankful for this cold weather since I got the opportunity to wear this coat from Fashionmia. Living in the tropics, the rain provided the only escape from the heat and humidity. This put a stall on my fashion dreams of donning a coat. I took this rainy season as the perfect opportunity to wear my coat. For a coat with such superb quality, it can't be left to gather dust in my closet. It comes with a thick material to provide the right amount of insulation without being too heavy. The faux suede finish and navy color combine to give it a sophisticated look.
It might seem shallow that I am only happy with the rain since I got to wear my coat. However, there is a deep message embedded here, which is also something I can take with me for 2017. You cannot control some factors in your life (such as the rain which has made a lazy girl out of me). But instead of trying to change what you can't, look at how you can make the situation better. If it requires me being more stylish, then I'd be the first to grab at the chance!

You inspire me to get out there and shoot more for my blog as well despite the weather! It is so easy to postpone shoots due to rain, cold, or snow. Thanks for the inspiration! I love that coat. XO, Ellese

I prefer for it to not rain when I want to take blog photos, but it does allow you to take some cute shots with this great coat and the umbrella!

You should appreciate the rainy days. Where I live are -25 degrees C or so and it's heavily snowing, lots of commuting routes are blocked because of frost and snow.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is so CUTE! I hate the rain, but if I wore this, it would make dreary days a little bit brighter!
ReplyDeleteChic coat, lady- great for rainy days!

That coat is such a classic! Love this entire outfit!
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute coat! I need to get this as it's been raining here 2 days straight!!
ReplyDeleteLove how ladylike your coat is - and I don't think you're being vain; anything that makes you smile on a rainy day can't be bad!
ReplyDeleteMy recent post has me with an umbrella too ... except I was up in Scotland, so it was much colder than it is for you! I'm sure the rain is very similar to the cold for a lot of us up North. It can be hard to want to leave when it's not necessarily pleasant out.
