I have a bias towards red-orange lipstick shades like EB's Scarlet so it was not surprising why I picked Siren on my recent shopping trip. This lipstick shade is part of the Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick line that are known for its LiquiSilk formula. The lipstick is formulated with mega moisturizers to lock in color and to keep your lips soft. In addition, the lipstick formula is creamy and smooth in texture for ease of application and even wear. It is a big shift for a matte lipstick lover like me, but I do like it. The swatch looked especially gorgeous - simple yet noticeable.
Siren is a cheerful sunny orange shade (lighter than Scarlet) with some coral undertones. It is a bit light when you apply the first coat. Hence, 2-3 swipes can give you that warm orange glow to your lips. Even though the formula is sheer, it can last for several hours. In fact, the color looks better and more vibrant the longer it sits on your lips.
The only downside to the Super Lustrous lipstick from Revlon is that the pigmentation highlights any dry flakes or patches on the lips. It is therefore important to smoothen out your lips prior to application for a soft and smooth finish. Or, you can moisturize your lips to solve the problem.
Have you tried Revlon's Siren? I'd love to hear your thoughts, too.
