Just a few weeks ago, I was talking about NYE outfits and now I can't believe that summer is on the horizon. It is a hot season for traveling and getaways (pun intended); hence, I'd like to get an early head start when it comes to planning summer getaways. Case in point: shopping for a swimwear. I am pretty sure that a beach getaway will be in the book for any of your future summer plans. Hence, I wanted to share my thoughts on this swimwear that I got from Zaful.

I packed this one shoulder scalloped swimwear on our recent trip to Boracay for our second wedding anniversary. I got a lot of compliment wearing it and is definitely one of my favorite purchases from Zaful to date. The color is as vibrant as I hoped or expected. The material is also of solid construction, which is impressive for its price. I like the snug fit too. It gives you more confidence when swimming or doing water activities that it will stay on. Gladly, I didn't do anything too active during my time in Boracay last December. Nonetheless, it helped to keep my swimming style on point. I was a bit skeptical about trying on a one-shoulder swimsuit but I am glad I did.

I couldn't speak highly enough of this swimwear especially for its price point. If you are interested to get my swimwear, it is also available in a few other color options such as blackish green, burgundy, grey olive, and merlot.

Swimsuit Trend: Crochet Swimsuit

Swimsuit shopping is inherently difficult because you have to find the right style to suit your body shape or type. You can find bolder designs such as pink bikini swimwear and red bikini set from two-piece to one-piece types. But the wide array of swimsuit trends and styles in the market do not make this task easier. For the newbie, it can even be overwhelming having to go through many options to find one that would look flattering on you. While trends have come and gone, there is one that has proven to be quite enduring: crochet swimsuit. 

I just recently started looking at swimwear and exploring at some new options apart from the ones that I already own. During my search, I've found quite a few unique options such as this velvet reversible bikini set from Zaful. You might find the idea of using velvet on swimwear as odd; I did too when I first heard about it. This undoubtedly bizarre new trend is another retro revival. Even celebrities are joining in on the trend. 

If velvet is too bizarre for your taste, you can explore other types of swimwear such as tankinis, high-waisted bikinis and my current favorite, one-piece swimwear. However, if you are more of a traditionalist, crochet is a safe bet. It is the perfect choice of swimwear for women who cannot decide if they should go for something trendy or traditional. Crochet swimwear is retro-flavored with plenty of room for modern updating. The modern crochet swimwear have also upped the ante as far as the style options are concerned. You can find these knits in bright hues, bold patterns and bright trims.

A trip to the beach or pool is part of the agenda for summer. With the heat rising up at this early point in the year, it just makes me anticipate swim time some more. Since tying the knot, the husband and I haven't had the time to go on a honeymoon trip... mainly because we've been busy getting our house ready for moving in. We both did not anticipate it would be a lot of work. But much like the stress of wedding planning, we've been relishing this time of our lives. And going back to the topic of honeymoon, I wanted for us to go somewhere tropical. The last time I went to the beach was way back in May. It breaks my heart a little to say that.

Naomi - A black bikini is a classic, like an LBD (little black dress). It is quite a surprise to me how I haven't had a pair of black bikini yet. But this one comes with feminine and dainty lace details and a light push-up effect that I am seriously considering this one.

CARA - Carter Rose White

Cara Rose White - Aside from a classic black bikini, one of my all time favorite is a floral swimwear. I have a couple of floral bikinis but this one from To Die For comes with a pretty lace detail that is just too hard to resist!

Monday Lily / Gypsy - White

Monday Lily / Gypsy (White) - A triangle bikini top is my next favorite type of bikini top, next to bandeau. It provides optimal protection and quite sexy too. A white lace bikini is even better!

KENZI - Summer Breeze

KENZI - Summer Breeze - Blue is my all time favorite color and to see this bikini with lace is just irresistible. This one gets the husband's approval!

ZOE - Alexa

ZOE - Alexa - A pink bikini is not really something that would capture my fancy; however, this one comes with beautiful and delicate crochet details. Two words: too pretty.

Material Girl / Viviene - Neoprene bikinis are the fad these days - and I love them! This one comes in a beautifully mixed and matched combination that easily stands out!

Wishlist: Swimwear Edition

I have a confession to make: I am a sucker for cute swimwear. Think bandeau top, floral prints and mismatched bikini. I already have quite a few pairs in my closet but there is no such thing as enough when it comes to swimwear, right? Especially if you're like me who constantly prowls through the Victoria's Secret website looking for new styles. 

Pardon me if you feel like summer is still a long ways off from where you are in the world. In the Philippines, it is drawing closer and closer by the day. Valentine's Day Gift Guide: For The Beach Lover

I can't stress enough how I love the beach and there is probably no other place I'd rather be if I want to relax or unwind. Needless to say, the ideal vacation for me is anywhere near a body of water so I can dip into the water or just soak up the sun.
