It is safe to say that sneakers is the hottest footwear trend this year. It used to be the go-to option for women for casual chic outfits but it has quickly replaced high heels in terms of fashionable street styles. There is more artistic and fashionista flair to a dress and sneakers combo than with high heels. But the best part about sneakers is that they are comfortable and you can wear them all day long. This footwear makes it to any woman's wardrobe capsule because of how easy it is to mix and match with various fashion pieces, especially white sneakers.

This denim overall outfit post is a long time coming. Since I've seen denim overalls pop up in various online shops, I knew that I had to try my hands on this trend. Since I am shopping for items to bring with me to an upcoming vacation, I saw this as an opportune moment to get my first denim overall as I deem it would be comfortable to wear during my travel.

When I got this denim overall from Sammydress, I knew I wanted to style it with a casual look. Denim and Converse is a no-brainer. This combo is just so easy and effortless, especially during travel. The top that I layered the denim overall with is actually a dress. I haven't worn this in a long time and I wanted to make use of it. It was fun and therapeutic at the same time to do a bit of digging through my closet. I think I need to do that more, especially since denim overalls are so versatile and there are so many tops that I can think of wearing it with.

WAYF x CONVERSE

Ahhh... I can't tell you enough how excited I am about today's featured look. It features two of my favorite pieces right now: this navy dress from WAYF and my all new pink Converse. I have been wanting a pair of pink Converse sneakers for a while now but haven't found the right shade of pink. And this one ended my search. (Can we hurrah for that??)

If you've noticed, I'm a bit obsessed with navy recently (see posts here and here). I love the simple elegance that this color brings to an outfit. I was more than thrilled to find this dress from WAYF in navy. Bonus? It is super easy to style, which is why I decided to purchase it. It's one of those dresses that can be transitioned from day to night by simply changing your shoes or adding in layers. But today, I am tossing the heels and sandals aside for a pair of sneakers. I kept everything simple. I'll let the dress and the shoes do the talking.
