5 Shoes Every Woman Must Have

There was a point in my life when I only owned a couple pair of shoes: one casual and one dressy. But gone are those days, I am now shoe-obsessed! Since I realized how they can make a different to an outfit, I have collected a wide range of shoes to spice up simple looks and give them major transformation.

Nude Heels

Obviously, a pair of nude heels is going to be on a list of shoes every woman must have. It is a classic shoe option for women because it renders a lot of versatility to your closet. You can pair it with jeans, dresses or even shorts. Plus, the color makes it suitable to be paired with any other color!

Ankle Strap Sandals

A sexy wrap around detail that ankle strap heels bring to your outfit makes it a must-have in a woman's closet. I personally love wearing mine with skirts and dresses to show off that ankle strap detail. Above all, it makes any look decidedly feminine!

Leopard Flats

According to fashion experts, and one that I completely agree on, every woman should have at least one leopard print item in her closet. It could be a shoe, bag, dress, or coat- ANYTHING! But for me, nothing beats having a classic pair of leopard shoes to add some drama to simple outfits. Even with a tee and jeans, you can spice up your look with leopard pointed toe flats.

Classic Sandals

A classic pair of strappy sandals is a must-have for any woman. Period. No matter what your style preference may be, you need one. It is easy to wear and a neutral colored one such as apricot, black or tan can go with any outfit.

Sneakers

Up until recently, I would consider wearing sneakers with sporty outfits. But I realized that you don't need to wear sporty outfits to rock a pair of sneakers. Even the most feminine looks can look good when worn with sneakers!

How to Style Sneakers for Summer

It is safe to say that sneakers is the hottest footwear trend this year. It used to be the go-to option for women for casual chic outfits but it has quickly replaced high heels in terms of fashionable street styles. There is more artistic and fashionista flair to a dress and sneakers combo than with high heels. But the best part about sneakers is that they are comfortable and you can wear them all day long. This footwear makes it to any woman's wardrobe capsule because of how easy it is to mix and match with various fashion pieces, especially white sneakers.

Personally, I've loved wearing fashionable sneakers with dresses and skirts. Here are some of the ways in which I have styled sneakers in the past:

Vacation Style: Part 2

On our second day at Dahilayan Adventure Park, I sported pastel colors and I just loved how comfortable this ensemble is. The shorts might look familiar; it's because I've done a post about it here. I got it from SheInside.com and is one of my favorite purchases from the website apart from this lovely maxi dress. But I digress... I loved the pairing of color with the coral shorts and the mint top. I also added in my new floral scarf to create a layering effect to this look.

Aside from the fun marriage of pastel colors in this look, this outfit served its purpose for me. It was comfortable enough for me to wear on a few zip line rides and for hiking around the park. I would not compromise comfort, not even for the sake of style.

Think Green

Anyone who knows me personally knows that I am a girly-girl at heart. I do like to engage in sports on occasion, but I prefer to wear sandals, heels, and sundresses on most days. Hence, my outfit one particular day was something that might surprise many who know me. In fact, the boyf liked it so much that we had to chronicle this look.

I wore my Green converse sneakers with skinny jeans and green Old Navy tank top. I paired it with the Michel Klein blazer that I've already featured here. This look is so uncharacteristic of me but I had so much fun tweaking my fashion choices recently that I figured I might try this kind of look again in the future.

Are you a sneakers or sandals kind of girl?
