Spring 2017 Color Trend: Primrose Yellow

In this post, I've discussed Greenery as the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year. However, Pantone has also released its Spring 2017 colors and I will discuss some (if not all) of them in my blog showcasing you different ways in which you can wear these colors. In today's post, you will find some of the hottest items from one of those colors: Primrose Yellow. Yellow is not a breakthrough color for spring or summer. But primrose yellow invites you with its instant warmth. It also exhibits characteristics of heat and vitality, which are all consistent with the season! This joyful shade will surely inspire you to explore the warm, sunny days of the season with enthusiasm.

If you ever need some spark of energy, you should definitely don this color this season! To shop my favorite primrose yellow pieces for spring/summer, you can check them out below:

Dark Floral for Fall + Linkup

Cheap Prom Dresses

I am the biggest floral fan you will ever meet; I guess it is a testament to my love for feminine styles. But florals don't always have to be worn in the summer time. If you're not a fan of the bright and girly style that is associated with the pattern, you can choose dark and moody florals instead. The use of a dark color palette to serve as background for the floral print adds a sense of edge and even a Victorian goth feel to it. Hence, do not be afraid to incorporate florals to your outfit this season.

Below are a few pieces that you can start with. You can add them to your outfit as a focal or accent piece:

Yumi Kim Modern Muse Dress
Boho Navy Floral Print Dress
JOA Black Floral Print Dress
Talulah Floral Print Top
Clayton Floral Crepe Bodysuit
Karen Kane Sheer Floral Overlay Top
Marc Jacobs Mixed Daisy Flower Tote
Kate Spade Floral Print Wallet
Adidas by Stella McCartney Floral Backpack
Vintage Floral Wide Leg Pants
Floral Long Kimono
Casual Floral Flatform Sneakers

As you can see, pairing the bright floral blooms against the dark background adds a sense of whimsy to any outfit. It's no wonder that dark florals are seen everywhere these days. You can find them not just in dresses but also in skirts, blazers, kimonos, bags and even shoes! And yet, the floral print does not lose every bit of its lady-like characteristics, which I love!

Which of these piece/s do you like most?

Save or Splurge: Flare Jeans

If you've spent the past few years religiously living in your skinny jeans, you're not the only one. I know I've lived in mine for more almost a decade now. I profess to how simple they are to style and make a simple outfit look chic (with the right pair of shoes, of course!). I simply cannot live without a pair of skinny jeans. But there is one trend that has caught my eye because of its flair for style. Since I've talked about the resurgence of choker necklaces (a retro trend), I've been delving into other fashion trends that have also been revived. And one of them is flare jeans. In fact, I've seen it widely showcased by fashion bloggers across the blogosphere. It seems that they have become really popular with fashion bloggers!

Although I am not ready to give them a try yet, I would not close my door on the idea. I love how it does elongate the legs, though. If you feel the same way about flare jeans like I do, these great pieces I found online will hopefully incite your curiosity about this returning trend. In addition, I've included two options for you, whether you want to stick to your budget or splurge a little.

Trend Report: Two Piece Dressing

Plus Size Prom Dresses

Two piece dresses aren't entirely revolutionary in style but have not taken center stage in the fashion arena until now. I personally love two piece dresses for its versatility. The option to wear them together or pair them with other pieces means that I could expand my wardrobe options some more. It is definitely attention-grabbing and one that I consider is the current trend to try! It is sassy and stylish at the same time. I think no other brand has nailed two piece dressing quite like Black Halo can. Since seeing their line at Shopbop, I have obsessed over every piece on that line. I love the use of silhouettes, structures and clean cuts for a sophisticated style.

Below are some of my favorites from the two piece dress options at Black Halo:

Sanibel Dress (Cruise)
Acadia Cocktail Dress
Atlantis CB Gown
Zaniyah Gown
Sanibel Mini Dress
Darcy CB Dress

Do you love two piece dresses as much as I do?

Summer Prints Series: Paisley

The 70's power print is back on the fashion map - paisley. I can't truly say that paisley is one of my favorite prints. But I love that a paisley print brings a hint of boho and summer vibe into an outfit, especially when used on flowy and sheer fabrics. It is a nice print to go to for summer when you want to step out of the traditional floral print. Even though paisley used to be applied onto fashion accessories like shawls or scarves, things have changed as they are also used extensively on a lot of modern fashion pieces.

Move over, floral. Check out some of the gush-worthy paisley pieces I found online (and all of these under $100!)

Navy Blue Paisley Print Maxi Dress
Paisley Print Maxi Skirt
Paisley Print Halter Maxi Dress
Long Sleeve Iridescent Dress in Paisley Print
Keyhole Halter Paisley Print Romper

What are your thoughts on paisley?

Rose Gold Obsession

Rose gold is making a huge comeback this year. Even though I wasn't a fan at first, this trend is slowly growing on me. I've already been a fan of blush for its ability to infuse a delicately sophisticated touch to an outfit. But a blushing gold is even better! I am not a fan of gold, but adding a hint of rose or blush to gold makes it stand out. Whether rose gold is used as the main color or accent for a clothing or jewelry, it's hard not to notice this color. In fact, I am drawn to them when doing my online shopping (I just purchased a rose gold watch from Rumbatime too).

If you're a fan of the rose gold trend or looking for new items to add to your shopping list, I've picked out my faves below:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

Are you a fan of rose gold too?
