Fash Love: Handbags Galore

Do you always feel the urge to shop for bags of all kinds and sizes? Do you pick your handbags according to mood? If you answered "yes", we're on the same boat. If you answered "no", then you're in denial. LOL. 

Handbags are one of those that I enjoy shopping for. To be honest, buying clothes and/or shoes can tend to be a frustrating experience when you 1) can't find something in your size, or when you 2) can't find the color or cut you want. But with handbags, it's always fun and exciting! Just imagine my delight when I browsed Bag Inc's site one day to check out new designs.

These bags need to find their way to my closet soon! I love that the bags available at BagInc are cheaper versions of your designer favorites. Seriously, who can afford to pay for designer handbags? It's more fun to have different options to suit your mood or style without breaking the bank.

Style Crush: Blogger Faves #4

It's back! I know, I missed it too. Life happened and I decided to enjoy it... but that does not mean that I stopped looking around various fashion blog sites to check out their gorgeous outfits! In fact, here is another around of my fashion blogger favorites showcasing drool-worthy ensembles.

Which look was your favorite?

Corporate Chic

The process of picking my outfit for work can be both challenging and fun. Challenging in a sense that I need to find something that meets the office's dress code but stylish enough for me to wear to a dinner date or other appointments later when I get off from work. However, I've embraced the challenge like a true fashion blogger and had mastered (I'd like to think) the art of dressing up for work!

 

 

This particular outfit, I think, might still be rather low-key for an office attire. I wore my blue sheer polo shirt with black leggings (a staple!) and my snakeskin pointed toe pumps. I really had no theme in particular when putting this outfit together. I simply grabbed the top off my closet and thought of other pieces I can pair it with. Thus, I can say that the top is the focal point of this outfit, which is why I decided to keep everything else simple and ditched the statement accessories.

How do you decide your office attire? Are they random or pre-meditated like most of mine?

Skirting the Issue

Feminine styles had been my "thing" lately. It could be skirts, floral patterns, or maxi dresses, anything that exhibit a carefree and feminine touch to my look is bound to draw my attention. Even when the weather might not have been ideal for short skirts or dresses, I'm firm that nothing can dampen my mood when it comes to dressing up (literally speaking, though).

I mean, who can contain their urge to dress up a little bit with these cuties?

I haven't really stocked up on skater skirts so much (only have skater dresses) since I used to prefer wearing pencil skirts. But after seeing a lot of of these skirts lately, I cannot fight the urge no more. Maybe that would be my reward for self once I got past this shopping hiatus.

One Dress, Two Ways Part II

In the midst of my budget and style challenge, I had surprised myself with different ways that I've styled old pieces of clothing to make them seem brand new. On my previous outfit post, I played up my cobalt skater dress with fun accessories and a cardi. This time around, I decided to grab one dress that I like a lot but felt like I haven't got much use of it than I should. 

I bought this dress from Invogue Collections, one of my favorite online shops, on a sale (yay!). This is a bustier dress that I wore to work by pairing it with a cardigan or blazer. The last time I featured it on the blog was during our dinner date while vacationing in Palawan (you can check that here). I accessorized it with my statement necklace, too. 

This time out, I wore it as a skirt! Yes, you heard it right - a skirt. I simply put on my off-white batwing top and accessorized with a different kind of statement necklace this time. Okay, I admit, this might not be the last time you'd be seeing of this necklace. I just love it - fun, quirky, and versatile!

Fash Interview: Jorgy & Missy

Online shopping is one of my guilty pleasures. Ever since I ordered my first item online, I have come to realize the convenience of choosing and buying your items without having to go to the mall to do the shopping yourself. For a full time worker like me, who has the time to go to the mall, right? I can still remember my first online purchase and it was from Jorgy N Missy - a local based Facebook-shop that has since become a favorite of mine.

Hence, I reached out to the owners of Jorgy N' Missy so I can get the opportunity to know more about the people behind their shop, their future plans, and other things that might be of importance to their customers. As it turns out, there is not one but three people behind this online shop and they are sisters, namely Jennifer, Maricel, and Olive. Their love for fashion and business inspired the idea to bring forth Jorgy N Missy, which they work on in spite of their busy individual careers. 

Shall we get to know them? 

How did your online shop start? Where did the inspiration or business idea come from?

It actually started 5 years ago in 20078 when out of the blue, we sisters, being the typical Chinese who loves [sic] to venture into businesses, decided to start an online shop. Online shops were still budding during those times and it was the perfect time... and so we created our first Jorgy N Missy account in Multiply. Would you believe we only started with P4,000 capital? We wanted to test the waters first and see if we were suited for this kind of business, and looking back, I guess we were.


Where do you get your supplies from?

Our very first batch of dresses came from another online shop who sold items at wholesale prices. As our needs grew, we began to set out to Manila for purchases, and eventually decided to take regular trips to Bangkok to personally handpick our items. 

What inspired you to open a brick and mortar shop?

Well, when business is good, there is nothing better to do than to expand. That was when we decided to open our very own 'Jorgy N Missy' Boutique... we designed the interior of the boutique ourselves. That saved us a lot from costs since we did not have to source out architectural nor interior designing services.

How often do you get stocks for the shop?

It depends on the demand. It's usually every 3 months and in bulk, of course. 

What's your secret to the continued success of the online shop (especially knowing that there are a lot of these shops on Facebook)?

 We think that there are three main reasons that contribute to our success. First, we keep prices low while not sacrificing quality. We cater to all types of clients, ranging from students to working professionals... Second, we dedicate ourselves to continually seek for improvement in all areas of the business. Third and most important of all, we maintain good relationship with our customers. We believe TRUST is very important.
