Whenever I'm headed to a weekend travel (or even a sleepover), I used to over-pack! No, let me correct that, I over-pack wherever I go. I like to have one or two extra outfits, just in case. But I am slowly learning the art of packing smart (although I still have a long way to go!). Packing essential items like a maxi dress, flats, and basic tees I can mix and match is going to ease up my packing woes.

With a weekend getaway in sight, I have decided to come up with this look. A maxi dress is always an essential in my book, especially for chic travel outfits. Therefore, I decided to top it with this denim shirt from Shein to make the outfit look effortless chic without compromising comfort. My new duffel bag from Herschel also makes for the ideal weekend getaway bag! It might not look big enough for a getaway but it is quite roomy on the inside. Therefore, I am totally in love with it because I hate having to lug around a huge bag - not stylish at all! Sadly, this color has sold out but you can find more travel bags from Herschel here.
What is your ideal weekend escape style?

Same! I can totally relate! I always overpack because I like to be prepared. I don't think I will ever learn the art of packing light but sometimes you are forced to. I like your idea of bringing maxi dresses because you can use it as a dress and as a skirt. :)

Every time am about to travel it is a disaster, I pack as if am going for a whole year and it is always frustrating that I end up not using a lot of those items. Thanks to you I have learned how to pack smart and I hope to keep learning more. I love the color of the maxi skirt and the daffel bag. Great job adding a denim blouse for a bit of edge!

Packing is hard! We want to ensure that we have enough items for every occasion and activity while making sure it all matches and have enough if something gets dirty. Your travel essentials sound good to me! I always pack my chambray and flat shoes!
