Lace on Lace

Have I told you about my obsession for lace? Yes, I love this fabric because there is a sensual yet feminine appeal to it that I believe reflects my personal style. I am not the most fashion-forward person out there, nor am I too experimental with my fashion sensibilities because I still stand firm with the idea that your choice of clothing should reflect who you are or at least provide a glimpse of it.

Needless to say, I am the most girly girl I know. In my mind, I like to be the outdoorsy, outgoing individual but to be honest, I prefer pink, lace, and heels just like the next girl.

One weekend, when going out with the boyf to celebrate our sixth anniversary, I tried on this lace on lace ensemble. I paired my white, long sleeve lace top with my pink shorts that comes with a lace lining, of which you have already seen me wear here. Such a fun outfit, right? It's straddling somewhere between casual and sexy perfect for an anniversary getaway! And to further amp up the feminine quality to my ensemble, I also wore the pink rosette earrings I bought from Love Diva (pictured below).

Have you tried putting on lace with lace? Be sure to share some links to your post in the comments section as I'd love to see them. xoxo

Bowling Day

Note: This is a late post.

A few months back, the boyf and I went to a local bowling alley (B3 at NCCC Mall) because we both wanted to give bowling a shot. I admit, it was a nerve-wracking experience because it was my first time. But we were anticipating to have some good time and that is exactly what we got. I never thought bowling was that hard! It sure does look quite easy to me - apparently not!

I wore the blue, floral cropped top that I got from Sophia's Closet and paired it with my gray tank top underneath (I was not ready to show a bare midriff just yet, LOL). This is more like my casual Saturday date getup, really. I like to keep things casual and comfy.

As we went into the bowling alley, I was made to wear these unattractive shoes (oops! no euphemism for that). But I can't deny these are really comfy. Check out below to see the shoes I'm talking about and the rest of my ensemble...

After bowling, we had dinner at Swiss Deli and it was truly a wonderful dine. They have great food and service!

Before leaving, I had this pic of me taken at their landmark. You can see it at my About Me page, too.

Have you tried bowling before? Was it as fun as my experience?

Date Night Ensemble

Last Friday, the boyf and I went on a dinner date to celebrate something special. We chose to dine at Cellar de Oboza, which is an ancestral home turned into a restaurant. I love the place because they serve good food and there is also an exclusive feel to the ambiance. It was also coincidental that we were the only ones there during our visit and so it truly felt like we had the place to ourselves.

For our date night, I opted to wear my new lace dress that I got from one of my favorite online shops. I like it because it is feminine yet sexy, which makes it perfect for an evening date. I opted to wear the espadrille instead of high heeled shoes or strappy sandals to tone down the look a little bit. Even though this was supposed to be a romantic dinner date, I wanted to keep it casual still.
