Damask Peplum

Peplum is one of my favorite trends in 2013. I am glad that it remains to be highly visible in the fashion landscape of 2014. But who cares about trends, anyway? This damask peplum I am sporting on a date night with the man is not entirely a new purchase. In fact, it amazed me how it took me sometime to feature it here. But this blue on blue outfit is one of my favorite ways that I've styled this peplum top, so I guess that explains it.






I love the dramatic flare at the bottom with a peplum top. And because it is patterned, I decided to leave out the statement accessories. I styled my hair with a side fishtail braid for a fun touch.
