Celebrity Fash: Vera Wang Spring 2013 RTW Collection

I'm not really into designer pieces but I do appreciate creative yet easy to wear designs. Among my favorite designers are Stella McCartney, Oscar dela Renta, Elie Saab, and Carolina Herrera, but I am recently taking notice of Vera Wang. The Spring 2013 Ready to Wear Collection from the designer house is all about texture, print, and proportion. It was clear that the designer had a methodical eye to explore how she can use textiles to produce different patterns and cuts uniquely hers. The best way to describe her newest collection would be a cross between edgy and feminine.

To see for yourself, here are some of my favorite pieces off of the Vera Wang Spring 2013 Ready to Wear collection:

Five Bags Every Girl Must Have

Finding the right bag is essential for both fashion and function. Your choice of bag also speaks a lot about you. Hence, women feel the pressure of picking the right bag to go with their outfit without compromising on its function. But there is no need to hoard bags as all you need are five bags and you have something for any occasion or use.

Everday Bag

This bag is just that - ideal for everyday use and for every occasion. This is the most practical buy because it helps you keep looking stylish at work, while browsing the shops at the mall, or when having a dinner date with your man. For this reason, it is best to choose a bag that comes with a solid color (preferably a basic one) so you can pair it with anything and you're good to go.
Overnight Tote Bag

This is another basic essential - a bag that is big enough to carry your basic stuffs for an impromptu overnight stay at a friends' house and yet chic enough to travel with style. Go for this blue leather tote bag from Bag Inc., priced only at $119.
 Clutch Bag

This is the ideal bag for women who like to carry only the barest of essentials such as their makeup kit or phone. This is a great bag to use during daytime and also transitions well into the night.

Sweet and Spiky Studded Navy Blue Clutch, $37
 Cross Body Bag

The versatility and functionality of this bag is beyond belief. This is the perfect bag to use when you can get your hands full because you can simply place it across your chest and you won't have to worry about anything. At the same time, it does not look any less stylish, too.

Little Brown Postal Bag, $26.50
 Statement Bag

This type of bag is anything but classic. As the name implies, it creates a statement and leaves quite a lasting impression on others. Be careful when choosing a statement bag, though. You have to have the right attitude to wear them instead of the bag wearing you!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is hands down my favorite time of the year (probably more than New Year, even, or my birthday!). I love it when it hits December and I start to see Christmas lights adorning various parts of the city. I am also one of the first few at home to help put up our Tree and decorate the house with holiday ornaments. This year, I've started putting up Christmas socks for my nephew so he will have something to check few days leading to the Christmas Eve and Christmas day!

As I, and probably most of you, my readers, are busy preparing for the holidays and enjoying the season with your families and loved-ones, I wanted to share with you some of the pics I took from last year's Christmas. It was so much fun to be hanging out at Mana Davao, a local attraction with lots of Christmas lights and ornaments that make it a perfect location for families and kids to hang out and take pics.

How are you celebrating Christmas this year?

Celebrity Fash Fave & Fashion Faux Pas

Hey ladies! It's been a busy week with the upcoming holidays but that's no reason to skip the celebrity sighting. For this week's edition of Fash Fave & Fashion Faux Pas, I will be featuring two young stars - Megan Fox and Vanessa Hudgens. Want to find out which is which? Read on...

Fash Fave

Let's start off with my favorite look for the week - Megan Fox. On December 17, she made an appearance on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" wearing this gorgeous Roland Mouret dress and Christian Louboutin pointed pumps. This is a classic yet breathtaking look from Megan and I love that it looks effortlessly stunning on her!

Fashion Faux Pas

On the flip side, Vanessa Hudgens was looking all but stylish while attending the (ironically) Charity Meets Fashion Holiday Celebration. Her all-black ensemble did not quite sit well with me. Okay, hear me out... the dress is actually good, so is the blazer. But when you put them together, she looks more like she's about to attend a Halloween party! Also, those stockings need to go! Now! And don't even get me started on that boots...

What did you think of my picks? Are you as crazy as I am with Megan's dress?

Little Red Dress

When I saw this red dress, I instantly fell in love with it. I've always wanted a red dress, although I already have one. I think that the color complements my complexion really well and I love wearing it with a red lipstick, too - my fave! And may I mention that I also wore red mani and pedi?

This corset dress is the perfect fit for me. It does not have any other embellishments to it - it don't need any of that. The dress in itself draws attention with its color. But since it was a casual day out for me, I opted to keep my accessories to a minimum - wearing only my vintage earrings that I've already featured here and my black Celine flats. Next time, I would love to wear it with pumps, maybe when I get to wear it for a more formal event.

How do you like my ensemble? Are you as crazy as I am with girly dresses? If you'd like to shop your own red dress, you can visit here or here for cheap finds.

New Mustard Pants

Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear. Previously, I blogged about one of my favorite little dresses, a mustard one, that I wore to a friend's wedding. As of late, I had been shopping around for the perfect mustard pants. Finally, the search was over as I was able to purchase one online and I wore it when visiting an inland resort for my pre-birthday and our sixth anniversary celebration.

The mustard color in itself gives a fashionable yet vibrant feel to my outfit - perfect for a fun day out. I opted for the bat wing, off-white top that I got from Jorgy N Missy to pair my pants with allowing the mustard color of the pants to become the highlight of my ensemble. I love the flexibility and comfort level of this look. Check out my photos below to get a glimpse of this really fun day!

Are you a fan of mustard skinnies? Here are some other colored skinnies I found that you might want to add to your closet:
