Celebrity Fash: Fash Fave & Faux Pas

I havent' had my Fashion Fave & Faux Pas in a while, but I am back this week to gush about my favorite celebrity looks. Shall we get started?

Fash Fave

I wasn't a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence until I saw Silver Linings Playbook. She's such a natural. Plus, I find her husky voice sexy. She is hot without trying too hard. But, 'cmon, there is no point trying harder when you look as good as her. Case in point: this LBD from David Koma that she wore when attending the 24th annual GLAAD Media Awards last April 20, 2013 at the JW Marriott at LA Live. Aside from her gorgeous black dress, she also stunned in her Nicholas Kirkwood shoes and a new shorter 'do.

Another favorite this week is Ali Larter. How can you not love this dress? The cut and pattern highlighted her curves in all the right places. Plus, she couldn't have paired it with a better pair of shoes! Her slightly tussled locks give a casual vibe to the outfit.

 Faux Pas

On the other end of the spectrum, Drew Barrymore looked anything but fashionable at the red carpet for the same event. I'm not even sure this would qualify as a frock - looks more like a draped bedsheet to me. Can't decide which is the worst part of this look - the unsightly pattern, the shapeless cut, or her hair? Take your pick! I wouldn't be caught dead in this outfit heading to sleep, much more on a red carpet event!

Which celeb is your best dressed for the week?

Celebrity Fash Fave & Fashion Faux Pas

It's been a while since I've last had my fashion fave and faux pas on my blog, and I feel like I have a little catching up to do. I've seen many fantastic appearances over the past few weeks, such as Lauren Cohan's gorgeous orange leather peplum at the Walking Dead Season 3 premiere, Miranda Kerr at the 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, and Lena Dunham at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards (pardon my love for lace!).

But for this past week, I've picked my favorite and choice for the worst-dressed. Read on..

Fash Fave

I have two picks for my fash favorites this week simply because I cannot pick which I liked better of the two hot looks by two young stars - Selena Gomez and Emma Stone.

Let's start with Selena Gomez. She was honored the Woman of the Year trophy at the Glamour Woman of the Year event last week because of her efforts for UNICEF as their youngest ambassador. The 20-year-old was all smiles despite rumors of her recent breakup with pop star ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Duh. I mean, she never looked better in this Giambattista Valli peplum dress. What do you think?

On the other hand, there's my favorite Emma Stone. I simply think she is turning out to be a fashion icon in her own rights. She can do nothing wrong in terms of fashion. She has had some breathtaking looks recently, but this one topped them. Check out her look while attending CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Awards 2012. And how pretty is that trench coat?

Fashion Faux Pas

While these youngsters are rocking their fashion, Heidi Klum seems to have gone downhill. This isn't the first time that I have featured her here (sadly, as Fashion Faux Pas both times), but how can I help it? Look at this outfit (one of many, by the way) that she wore to the recent 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards. Talk about tacky.

Celebrity Fash: Fash Fave & Faux Pas

It's a brand new edition of Celebrity Fash and for this post, I bring you my picks for the best celebrity looks this past week, as well as the not-so-favorite of mine. Shall we get started?

Fash Fave of the Week

Jayma Mays showed up to Elle's Women in Hollywood annual fete wearing this head-turning, electric-blue peplum dress from Alexandra Vidal. She paired her fun dress with an equally vibrant Brian Atwood sandals, while keeping the glamour for the event with her Rebecca Minkoff clutch and David Yurman cocktail ring. I love the color coordination in this look without losing that fun and bubbly vibe to her ensemble.

Meanwhile, Lea Michele (Jayma's Glee co-star) brought some serious glamour into the red carpet as she attended the premiere of FX's American Horror Story: Asylum wearing this curve-hugging and seductive black Armani gown. Her wavy locks help to incorporate a more sexy vibe into the look.

Fashion Faux Pas

I had a hard time picking between my choice and that of Jessica Biel. Both looks are horrendous. And that's even me trying to be polite about it. But I had to give it to Whitney Port. I love sheer tops because the fabric is so feminine yet sexy; but looking at her wearing this top make me want to seriously reconsider. And don't even get me started on the pants. Even a granny won't be caught dead wearing them. What's even harder to believe? She's got her own fashion line.
