Floral Maxi Romper: Two of My Fave in One

First and foremost, pardon for not having proper outfit shots. I was on full vacation mode while in Boracay that taking photos of what I was wearing was the last thing on my mind. I just needed to share this look on the blog because this maxi romper is one of my favorite things to wear recently.

It took me a long time to give into buying this maxi romper. I love wearing a maxi dress and romper, but at first I thought it was somewhat ridiculous to combine the two. To my surprise, putting this on felt so comfortable. When you're on vacation and you spend a lot of time walking around, you will appreciate how comfortable this outfit can be. I like that you can get the comfort of wearing shorts but also the fashionable touch of wearing an off-shoulder maxi dress. It felt so summer-y and beach-y, which truly made it an essential in my packing list.

Lastly, anyone who has read this blog before knows how big of a fan I am of any floral prints. The summery floral print with the vibrant burgundy was begging to be on my vacation packing list! I can't deny that this was one of my favorite outfits that I wore during our most recent vacation. At only a little over $25, the fabric felt more expensive than it really is. That is a good deal in my book!

Leopard Kimono

Adding a dose of leopard to an outfit always makes it more interesting (for lack of a better word). It is a tricky pattern to wear. However, I prefer wearing it as an accent to the outfit because it can be a little too overwhelming when not executed carefully. I was a bit hesitant to get this leopard kimono but decided to go for it. It's from Choies.

In this particular look, the leopard kimono infused a touch of feistiness to the LBD. However it is also a versatile piece. I am thinking about using it as a coverup on the beach too! My La Mer watch provided a nice contrast in color.

Friday Favorites: Dresses Edition

I know, I know... I've been slacking off again. I hate reading about those lame excuses on blog posts for being absent, so I will skip that part. In my last post, I've talked about transitional style and how I turn to knits as my go-to option for this time of the year. But I also think that I am not ready to let go of wearing dresses just yet. I will always be a "dress kind of girl" and the seasons won't change that.

In particular, I am going to share with you 7 of my favorite dresses right now that I think can be worn any time of the year. These would be a good addition to your closet if you're not keen on buying all the time.

Vintage Style Party Dress

When I saw this dress, I literally gasped. I do have a penchant for vintage fashion, especially vintage inspired dresses. This dress in particular ticks all the right boxes for me. While it does have a vintage feel, it is also very distinctively modern. I could see myself wearing this for a wedding as a guest, or some other cocktail parties. Not only will get you get a transitional dress but also have one that you can wear for special occasions. That is a win in my book!

Another obsession of mine aside from vintage dresses? A crochet dress! I have a few of them but I can't help myself (just added this to my cart!) with this one. I love that collar detail, which gives it an elegant, almost snobbish feel to it.

This mint color is what wooed me over. Plus, I've always been a fan of the bateau neckline and wonder why there aren't as many dresses or tops that use this particular neckline. The length of this dress also makes it highly versatile. While it is made as a party dress, it can be easily dressed down too, thus giving you more wear throughout the year.

This is another dress that I couldn't get my eyes off when I saw it! That color is just breathtakingly beautiful. The cutouts are also well-placed to give the dress a subtle sexy touch! It is also easy to transition for the colder months by layering it with a coat!

I've always wanted to wear knits but every time I attempt to, the temperature never hits below the 25-30 degree Celsius range. And that is hot! It's like having summer all year round. But I wouldn't let that stop me from buying and sporting this striped knit top with this gorgeous skirt that was gifted to me by a friend.

I love the sheer simplicity and femininity of this look. And this explains why I love wearing skirts most of the time. They are so easy to wear but with the right pair of shoes can easily transform your look from drab to fab!
