Valentine's Day Gift Guide

Valentine's Day has never been a big deal for me and my partner. It is not a holiday per se. I viewed it mostly as a capitalistic invention to get people to spend money on irrelevant items like flowers or gifts. Also, I had been of the opinion that you should not dedicate a single day of the year to commemorate love - whether for your friends, parents, children, or partners. It sounds so silly, don't you think?

I would never oblige my partner to get me something for Valentine's Day, or to take me to a fancy dinner date. But when I do get gifts, I can't say that they're an unwelcome surprise. When it comes to gift shopping, I always think function first. Even when I do appreciate getting luxury gifts from the boyf, getting things that I can actually use is more satisfying. One of the things that I am spending more of my money on as of late are athletic and workout gears. Just a month ago, I bought a new pair of gym shoes and slip in to buy workout apparel whenever I can. Valentine's Day Gift Guide: Shoes For Her

Time flies, doesn't it? Seems just like a few days ago when I heralded in 2013 with some preparations for the New Year's eve and looked back on some of the best memories from 2012. And already, everyone's talking about the next big holiday coming up - Valentine's Day. Personally, it is not too big of a deal for me and the boyf. We keep it simple with a dinner date!
