Chambray for Spring

OUTFIT DETAILS
Dress (c/o) / Bag (c/o) / Watch (c/o) / Earrings (c/o) / Shoes (c/o)

Chambray for spring is not a fashion breakthrough, just like floral is. But they are called staples for a reason. Hence, I am excited to share this look because it showcases the quintessential spring/summer vibe that I have always striven for. I have had a few chambray dresses over the years but this is undoubtedly my favorite yet. Find out why below...

If there is anything that I like equally as chambray, it's the small but unique details that make a simple piece stand out. In this case, the cut-out and bow tie front combine to make a feminine dress look extra cute but not in a cheesy way. I've always loved pairing feminine pieces together but with this one, the dress is all you need to create a decidedly feminine look because of the cutout front and that bow.

The front placement of the button makes it super easy to put on this dress too. And as you can see from one of my photos, the back is also stretchable so it has quite a forgiving fit. Yet another reason to love Chicwish - this dress is a masterpiece in its simplicity. You can get yours for less than $51!

If you are looking for other chambray pieces to add to your spring wardrobe, here are some of my picks from Chicwish:

Summer Vibes

OUTFIT DETAILS
Dress (c/o) / Watch (c/o) / Crossbody Bag (c/o) / Espadrille Wedge (c/o) / Sunglasses / Earrings (c/o)
Even though I wear my maxi dresses year round, there is something about off shoulder maxis that are just a perfect fit for summer wear. If you add in some floral prints into the mix, you have the quintessential summer time outfit. But I do think that the accessories are what makes your summer style stand out. Hence, this summer vibe that I am going for with this look would not be complete without my new Skye watch from Uncle Jack. Mint has always been one of my favorite colors so when I saw this watch on Uncle Jack's website, I did not hesitate and chose this watch. It is a standout accessory without being too bold in its style.

Aside from my watch, this pair of sunglasses from ForMe has served me well throughout these years. I love the pop of pink that add a whimsical touch to my summer outfits. The pink sunnies and mint watch do look good together, don't they?

What accessories do you like to incorporate into your summer outfit?

Holiday Gift Guide: Vegan

Shopping gifts for a vegan can be admittedly difficult. But it doesn't have to be. There are more options available now than ever with several brands like 88 opting to use cruelty-free methods and materials for manufacturing their items. Their line of luxury vegan handbags is something that I was initially introduced to. If you're a frequent reader of my blog, then you know I'm a big fan of 88's Cathy Saddle Bag (as seen here, here and here). The best part is that their items are really affordable - there is simply no reason to support vegan brands!

That's all the chatter right now, I'll let you have a peek at some of the pieces I dug up from the website, which I'm sure you'll love too - best part? None of these cost $60 and more!

Embroidered Denim

Top: Shein
Skirt: Fashionme (c/o)
Bag: 88 Handbags (c/o)
Watch: JORD (c/o)
Wedge Sandals: Sammydress (c/o

It's been a long time when I last wore a denim skirt. The last one was probably in the 90's (no kidding). It was a staple part of my style during that time but I have outgrown them. Today, just like any other fashion trends, denim skirts are back... and in a big way! I got this new embroidered denim skirt from Fashionme and it was a bittersweet moment to relive the fashion trend I was fond of as a young girl.

Top: Shein
Skirt: Fashionme (c/o)
Bag: 88 Handbags (c/o)
Watch: JORD (c/o)
Wedge Sandals: Sammydress (c/o)

I have seen a lot of new denim skirt trends emerge. But denim pencil skirts are a classic in my eyes. The embroidered details on this one provide the right amount of modern edge. But I wanted to keep the look feminine casual so this floral cami top from Shein and wedges from Sammydress were my best bet to complement the skirt. But since this is a classic piece, it's versatile enough to be paired with several other items in my closet. Be sure to be on the lookout for those remixed styles soon!

How would you wear this embroidered denim skirt?

Tropical Print

Dress: Dresslily (c/o)
Crossbody Bag: 88 Handbags (c/o)
Shoes: Sammydress (c/o)
Watch: JORD (c/o)
Doesn't this dress remind you of summer? Sorry not sorry! I actually love to wear floral and summer prints like this all year round. It brings a sense of summer throughout the year. Hence, I was really excited to get this dress from Dresslily. And it's a midi dress too! Double yay for that!

Dress: Dresslily (c/o)
Crossbody Bag: 88 Handbags (c/o)
Shoes: Sammydress (c/o)
Watch: JORD (c/o)

Even though the print is summer-y and most would think of styling it casually, I wanted to dress it up with my favorite pair of heels from Sammydress. Meanwhile, the crossbody bag from 88 Handbags provided the right touch of fun, so the outfit isn't too dressy! The tan accessories definitely made the tropical prints stand out, don't they?

No matter what the fashion rules say, I like breaking my tropical printed pieces any time of the year. How would you transition this print for the colder season?
