My love for cobalt is what pushed me to buy this dress from Shein. I initially resisted the idea but the dress won me over, eventually. The fact that it does not have any print or embellishments made me love it even more. The color and the cut are enough to make the style statement I needed.

It is also a great dress to wear on casual or glam events - it all depends on what shoes you wear it with and how you accessorize it. For this look, I opted for a casual ensemble. I paired it with leopard loafers and a layered necklace. Can I just tell you how much I love these loafers? I've wanted one for a long time and am glad I could finally add a dose of fun into my outfit with these statement flats.

Sadly, this dress has already sold out (I bought it for $18 only). But you can get a red version of this same dress (it was sold in two colors). Or, you can add it to your wishlist, just in case they re-stock it!

Color Block Maxi

I have had this color block maxi dress from Shein for a long while now but I have yet to blog about it... until now. If you're a regular reader, then you are well aware that I am obsessed with maxi skirts and dresses. You too will fall in love with the maxi dress selection from Shein and the fact that you can buy most of them for less than $50! There are some aspects of the sewing and fit that can be improved on but in general, they never fail to satisfy even the most discerning fashion tastes (especially at its price point)!

The pale pink color on the bottom half of this maxi dress provides that feminine touch to the dress. Meanwhile, the neckline is gorgeous! I love how it shows off my collar bone prominently. I have a minor obsession for halter necklines so don't be surprised if this maxi makes a repeat on the blog soon!

Maxi Dress & Thoughts on Self Confidence

I might sound like a broken record player when I say this, but maxi dresses have become my ultimate favorite. This type of dress makes me feel like all dolled up with little to no effort, which is mainly what and why I love them so much. Since my first maxi dress, I have been addicted and continue to “hoard” them. But more than comfort and style, there is a certain confidence that I feel when I wear a maxi dress.

And I think that we all should have that type of dress or clothing. You know, the type that makes you feel good about yourself. That is one aspect about personal style that a lot of us often overlook, or not pay as much attention as we should – the enhanced feeling of self-confidence. I will spare you the blabber about styling. You make your own rules. Wear what you like. Wear it with confidence. If you think you look good (and you feel good wearing it), you will look good. Trust me. After all, style is subjective.

That is exactly what I felt when I put this dress on. I feel feminine, I feel sexy. I find myself constantly reaching for it in my closet. It’s also less than $20 so there was no second guessing myself when I added this to my cart.

'Tis the season to be jolly! I have always loved and looked forward to Christmas.
