Just a few weeks ago, I was talking about NYE outfits and now I can't believe that summer is on the horizon. It is a hot season for traveling and getaways (pun intended); hence, I'd like to get an early head start when it comes to planning summer getaways. Case in point: shopping for a swimwear. I am pretty sure that a beach getaway will be in the book for any of your future summer plans. Hence, I wanted to share my thoughts on this swimwear that I got from Zaful.

I packed this one shoulder scalloped swimwear on our recent trip to Boracay for our second wedding anniversary. I got a lot of compliment wearing it and is definitely one of my favorite purchases from Zaful to date. The color is as vibrant as I hoped or expected. The material is also of solid construction, which is impressive for its price. I like the snug fit too. It gives you more confidence when swimming or doing water activities that it will stay on. Gladly, I didn't do anything too active during my time in Boracay last December. Nonetheless, it helped to keep my swimming style on point. I was a bit skeptical about trying on a one-shoulder swimsuit but I am glad I did.

I couldn't speak highly enough of this swimwear especially for its price point. If you are interested to get my swimwear, it is also available in a few other color options such as blackish green, burgundy, grey olive, and merlot.

I am going to keep it short but sweet today. To say this week has been so busy is an understatement. Despite my busy schedule, though, I've managed to squeeze in some shopping. As I've said in this post, I am going to be on vacation in a few months, of which I am so excited about because we were not supposed to travel this year (as we are saving up for a big project and purchase!) but I booked a surprise trip for the hubby and I and he was okay with it, so I couldn't be more excited about that!

I am having a yellow moment right now. It is one of those colors that I tend to wear more in the summer time than any other time of the year. The case is true this year especially with primrose yellow cited by Pantone as one of the top colors for Spring/Summer 2017. I love how the color adds a pop of brightness to an outfit. Plus, it does not hurt that it is such a "feel good" hue. It might sound cliche but it does bring a sunny statement to your summer style.

Aside from yellow, one thing that I am loving right now all the time is floral. Will I ever get enough of floral? Probably not. Will it ever go out of trend? Probably not, especially since I don't consider it a trend. The idea of wearing floral for spring/summer isn't something I consider as "trendy", it's right there with stripes as one of the classic style pieces for the season. It will have its own shining moments in fashion history but it will never be out of style. The wide variety of floral prints to choose from and color combinations provide it with added versatility, such as a black floral maxi dress and this bright floral dress. These two can create such different looks for your summer style. 

On a different topic, I just booked us a flight later this year to a popular tropical destination in the country. I won't share it yet but this dress would be the perfect outfit to pack for that trip! Can you guess where the hubby and I are headed to?

This could not be any more true in the summer wherein the heat makes dressing up on most days extra challenging. I like to put on a dress and a pair of sandals to look polished by putting a little effort into the look. A sundress is number one on my list of must-have summer pieces. Even though I tend to wear florals all year round, there is an emphasis for floral dresses that are light and breezy in the summer. Feminine floral prints and dresses that are made of light chiffon materials are my ultimate go-to for summer. Plus, floral is a classic pattern so it never goes out of trend and you can wear it for next season or anytime of the year.
