All About That Lace

If there is anything that I love equally as floral, it's lace. Lace was a huge trend in 2014 and I could not have been more excited because I loved the fabric already. And now the trend has waned down a bit but I have continued to wear lace like it's 2014. Ha!

I was browsing through Showinbuy's selection of fabulous dresses and this lace shift dress caught my eye. I loved its use of lace as an accent to not only bring dramatic flair to the shoulders but also give it that glam feel. Aside from the lace, its the light pink color that got me on the first sight. You can get it at a huge discount from its original $51 price tag to less than $20 here. 

The only downside to this dress was that it was a little too sheer. I was expecting it to be somewhat sheer because it is made with chiffon but I had to take it to the tailor to get fixed (I had to have some lining added to the dress). And it's good to go now! Shift to The Mint Julep

When The Mint Julep Boutique reached out to cooperate with me on a giveaway, I was super excited since I've been eyeing this shop closely. I mean, who wouldn't? Check out their feed on Instagram and you will be bombarded with endless array of fashionable and trendy pieces that make styling easier. I love that their pieces are uniquely theirs - every piece has The Mint seal!

True to their commitment of quality and trendy pieces, this shift dress I got from the shop was of superb quality. I would not normally go for a shift dress - I am more of a bodycon or fit and flare dress kind of girl. But I just had to try this on! Aside from the great quality fabric, I cannot even begin to share how comfortable it feels on. 

Simply Red

A red dress, like an LBD, is a wardrobe staple. I already have quite a few of them in my wardrobe but there is no such thing as too much when it comes to red dresses, you agree? This red shift dress from ThredUp is going to be an undeniable favorite. It is made with 100% polyester so it comes with a nice, comfortable fit. Even though the fabric is a bit heavy, it does not feel bulky when worn. In fact, it feels very light and soft.

I styled this red dress with a layered beaded necklace and my go-to floral flats. The dress already commands attention in itself so I did not want to over-do it with styling and/or accessorizing.
