I always like to discover new ways to wear and style dresses or clothing items that I already own. Hence, I was excited to try out adding a belt to this maxi dress that I own (and already featured here). It's no question that I loved the relaxed fit of this maxi dress, causing me to dub it as the comfiest maxi I've ever owned. But I like to add a belt into the mix as well to cinch the waist and give it more shape when worn.

To complete the look, I wore the belted dress with my wedge sandals and Kate Spade tote to create a more dressed up look. I wear this maxi dress with thong sandals and flats a lot but dressing it up would be a nice change too. For cooler months, I could also toss in a light denim jacket for layering.

As I previously talked about here, I am super stoked that shorts season is finally here! Is there anything more comfortable than wearing shorts? Yup-- none. I am also loving the fact that there are more options for shorts styles than ever before. I remember when I was much younger that denim shorts were the only ones available for me to choose from. Thankfully, we can now find cute options like this one I'm wearing that are eye-catching, adorable and super comfortable. I got it on a major deal too, at only 250 PhP or roughly $6! Steal, I know! (sadly, I bought it from a local mall, but I linked a few cute printed shorts I found online)

But let's talk about this hobo bag from 88 Handbags for a sec. Love it! I had been shopping around for a black bag because I surprisingly do not have one yet. I wanted to get myself a basic black bag to add more versatility to my wardrobe. With this bag, I can wear it as a shoulder bag or as a crossbody bag. Plus, the straps are interchangeable too (it comes with a longer strap - the one I am using in this post) to suit your style. You can wear this bag on a casual look like I did here, or with a dressier outfit.

Best Dressed + Pom Poms

It was a gloomy day when we took these photos. So I decided to wear something fun and fresh and a bit exciting. I got this Best Dressed tee from Shein. I wasn't planning on buying it but scrolled through it when I was browsing their tees section. Since I got this graphic tee from Shein, I have developed a penchant for graphic or statement tees. This one makes quite a statement on its own.

I decided to double the fun factor in this look with this purple pom pom shorts from FashinonMia and ombre flip flops from Ipanema. It's one of the most comfortable looks I've put together. This top is going to be a versatile piece and I already have a couple of other outfit ideas. With summer on the horizon, this will be my go-to top.

 

I Woke Up Like This

Statement tees are my fave at the moment. For the longest time, I've tried avoiding the use of tees because there just wasn't much style appeal to them. I was dead wrong. The advent of statement tees like this one quickly reinvigorated my interest (and I'm sure it did for others too) to start wearing tees again! One item that is quite trendy at the moment is this "I Woke Up Like This" shirt. I also added two pieces from Zaful to dress up this simple grey tee: this printed long pencil skirt and coin pendant necklace.

And let me tell you a little bit about this skirt too.  The fabric is comfortable, the fit was great and it has a slit! I don't know what it is about long skirts and dresses with slits, but it's almost guaranteed that I'd buy it when I see one. And I've been looking for a printed maxi skirt, too, so it was a bonus when I found this one from Zaful.
