I've always been a fan of mixing bold colors together. Color blocking might be a trend of 2015 but it has never really faded from the fashion scene. When tastefully done, it can even look elegant. That is the idea that I was going for when I decided to pair my red top with this dark green maxi skirt. It is no secret that I love adding a pop of color to my outfits but pairing two bold colors in one outfit takes it to a whole new level.

Like I said, Chicwish has a seemingly endless array of pretty skirts. Below are just a few of my other favorites:

Emerald Maxi Skirt / Stripe in Blue Cotton Midi Skirt / Lollipop Color Block Midi Skirt / Midi Skirt in Rosy Brown / Pleated Midi Skirt in Sapphire Blue

Have you shopped from Chicwish before?

I don't know about you but I think of skirts when I want to create an effortless style. There is a subtle cross between casual and feminine style that I really love. Check out some of the top coveted skirts for spring so you can be inspired to create your warm weather style:

As you can see, pencil skirts and maxi skirts are a coveted piece for me. But I'd like to hear your thoughts - which of these skirts define your ideal spring style?

October Wishlist: Statement Skirts

Skirts are my go-to piece in my closet, aside from dresses of course! I could not be more excited that the past year or two has seen major growth in terms of options of skirts to wear. Midi and pencil skirts continue to be my favorite but it wouldn't hurt to try out something different, would it? Today, I have partnered with Shopbop to bring you statement skirts that I currently covet. These statement skirts require you to be daring; but really, with such statement pieces there isn't much styling left to do.

Fro left to right: Pleated Skirt from J. Mendel / Fringe and Lace Skirt from endless rose / Lace Crossover Skirt from Jonathan Simkhai / Florence Mini Skirt from For Love & Lemons / Moore Wrap Skirt from Roseanna

Which of these are your favorite statement skirt of the bunch?

Summer Essentials: Midi and Maxi Skirts

My inclination for feminine style is part of the reason why you mostly see me in dresses and skirts, as evidenced by my style posts. I can't help it! I have a weakness for dresses and skirts. It is also the easiest to style because wearing a skirt or a dress will make you look put together even with minimal effort.

Thus, I've relied on skirts heavily to make up most of my summer wardrobe. I love the fact that I can wear one type of skirt and create a completely different look by wearing another type of skirt. I would have to say, I do have a biased preference for midi and maxi skirts as of late. But that does not stop me from gushing over some beautiful skirts I've found online. You can check them out below, I've included the links if you'd like to add them to your summer closet, too:

Skirting the Issue

Feminine styles had been my "thing" lately. It could be skirts, floral patterns, or maxi dresses, anything that exhibit a carefree and feminine touch to my look is bound to draw my attention. Even when the weather might not have been ideal for short skirts or dresses, I'm firm that nothing can dampen my mood when it comes to dressing up (literally speaking, though).

I mean, who can contain their urge to dress up a little bit with these cuties?

Middle: 1 / 2 / 3
Bottom:  1 / 2 / 3

I haven't really stocked up on skater skirts so much (only have skater dresses) since I used to prefer wearing pencil skirts. But after seeing a lot of of these skirts lately, I cannot fight the urge no more. Maybe that would be my reward for self once I got past this shopping hiatus.

Big fan of skirts too?
