Blue Floral

This summer, several trends like off-shoulder styles, fringe or pom poms, and tribal prints emerged to offer women easy to wear styles suited for the hot weather. But when all else fails, I turn to floral to create an effortless summer style. The good thing about wearing floral is that it is a timeless pattern, much like stripes, and it will never disappoint in the fashion department. Such is the case with this blue floral dress from Showinbuy

Dress: Showinbuy (c/o) / Flats: Mendrez / Watch: La Mer Collections / Sunnies: Sunnies Studios (get 15% off Zalora with code 'ZBAPZD4H') / Earrings: Soufeel (c/o) / Lipstick: MAC Craving

I guess floral is a universally loved pattern (correct me if I am wrong), but what is there not to love about floral really? This dress in particular really drew me in with its vibrant floral prints against my favorite color. The quality is a welcome surprise given its price point. I would definitely pay more for this quality. The material is also a great choice in hot weather because it is fresh and light. This look is my quintessential outfit for the summer time. You can check more fab dresses from their women's dresses selection.

I paired the dress with my La Mer Cantaloupe Arizona watch for a pop of color, along with my pastel nails. And the gorgeous bowknot crystal earrings from Soufeel provided the right amount of glam.

Do you love floral for summer too?

June Wishlist: Basic Tees

Basic tees are an essential in any woman's closet. These items are easy to dress up or down, providing you with more versatility when it comes to styling your everyday looks. Personally, I enjoy wearing basic tees with fun statements. It is a nice way to add some perkiness to the outfit while also making it versatile enough to be styled different ways depending on what you pair them with. These are some basic tees I've looked up from The Shopping Bag to hopefully add to my closet soon:

Oh Crepe Crop Top / Hello Friday Tank Top / I Did It for The Insta Tank Top / No Filter Crop Tank Top / Nama'Stay in Bed Tank Top

What is your favorite way to style basic tees?

I Heart Polka

Despite my love for polka, I do not own too many polka pieces in my closet. I can be very picky with the type of polka dots I wear or buy. White polka dots on black is my favorite, though. Hence, I was very excited to get my hands on this skirt from Dresslink

Top: Dresslink (c/o) / Skirt: Dresslink (c/o) / Watch: La Mer Collections / Sunnies: Sunnies Studios

The skirt is actually one half of a coordinated two-piece set. However, I preferred styling it with this red chiffon blouse from Dresslink. The resulting look is my kind of style. It is subtly feminine. I was tempted to wear it with a statement necklace but I opted out because I think the outfit did not need any of that. A pair of basic pumps completed the look.

As much as I love the fit of the skirt, I was not too crazy about the fabric (same with the top). The fabric is very thin, almost see-through. At its price point though, it's hard to complain.

How would you style this polka flared skirt?

Hair Care and Bath Essentials

I used to not give much thought to the shampoo and conditioner I use on my hair. But my experience working with hair care professionals and as a professional hair blogger has taught me otherwise. Every hair type is unique. Therefore, every individual has unique needs that must be met as far as hair care is concerned.

I recently switched up my hair care routine to focus on hair products that nourish and repair from within. Argan oil is one of the most lauded natural ingredients that is believed (and backed up by research) to offer amazing benefits to your hair. Think of it like coconut oil. These two are some of the best natural oils you can use on your hair.

Today, I am giving you a glimpse into my hair care routine and the products I use to nurture my hair from inside-out:

Blogger 101: Dealing with Haters

Source
Disclaimer: Before I start, let me make this clear: I don't have as many haters or online bullies (luckily) as others do. But I do have fair share of it and I think many of my fellow blogger friends and readers do as well. Hence, I decided to come up with this post as part of my Blogging 101 series to address the issue and for others to gain some perspective about it, especially those who are getting a great deal of hate and/or criticism online.

No matter what you do or how successful you are, there will always be people who will try to dis-credit you. In general, I am a fun-loving person (except for when my PMS strikes and I have major mood swings). I like to talk about things I love with people I equally love. This is the same reason why I think I have thrived in the blogging industry - I get a lot of support from fellow bloggers in the community and I try my best to share the same kind of love and support. You do not know the impact that a simple encouraging message can do to others - it can turn a bad day around!

Hence, I am still surprised when even major bloggers (I prefer not to disclose their names here) have their fair share of haters or trolls online. I know that there are also people who feel that way towards me. I won't deny it. And I acknowledge it! But when people go out of their way to ridicule or send hate messages, my initial reaction is "why?". Is the hate too big of a burden to bear that you really had to take time off of your day to say negative things about another? And if I may insist, negative things toward somebody you barely or have not even spoken a word to? What basis do they get their negative feelings from?

It's a sad fact, I know. But for us on the receiving end of these hateful acts, it is important to change our perspective. Instead of moping around and doubting yourself, why not think of these instead:

Must-Have Summer Dresses

If I could wear just one item of clothing for the rest of my life, I'd pick a dress. Any day. All the time. For summer, there is the added incentive of being easy to wear and staying comfortable if you opt to wear a dress. Today, I am showing you a few of my coveted pieces for summer from WalkTrendy
