Mint and Blue

Pastel colors make me happy. Whether it's mint, peach or blush, I always try to incorporate these shades into my wardrobe and everyday style. Aside from the fact that they give me that happy vibe, they are also highly versatile and can work with several different colors. One of my favorite ways to wear my favorite colors is to go for the monotone look, specifically pairing two items of the same color but of different shades or hues for my outfit. 

This cobalt pencil skirt I got from Persunmall has been a good investment piece. My favorite way to wear it is with sweater tops or long sleeved tops, like this new one from For Me. The sheer simplicity of the top belies the style statement it makes. I decided to throw in my pink necklace to add some dose of fun into the look.

Walking on Sunshine

Pardon the cheesy title. I always have a giddy sense of excitement whenever I smell summer right around the corner. Aside from the holiday season, summer is one of those seasons that I look forward to most. As a self-confessed beach bum, I am not surprised why. 

This light yellow top from For Me is one of the old reliables in my closet, so to speak. It has a preppy vibe to it. But at the same time, it is versatile enough for me to wear for a casual outfit (like this one). I paired it with my white shorts and fun flats for a girly, summer look. It is fresh and easy to wear.

Post-Gym Chic

I don't have a massive closet so it is always a challenge to come up with different ways to style the same set of clothes. Hence, I am shamelessly featuring the same top that I have featured here in the blog before. I can't help it - it's one of my faves because it's flowy and comfortable. 

This particular outfit I wore after hitting the gym. I paired my patterned floral top from For Me with cuffed denim shorts and black sequined flats for a sexy yet chic post-gym look.

Feeling Blue

I've noticed that when I do browse the rack at a boutique, my eyes are quickly drawn to blue. My favorites range from baby blue to teal to azure and dark blue.. There is a royal touch to it, but at the same time it commands attention with such a pop of color to your outfit. Wearing blue is, as much as it is fashion-forward and eye-catching, a bit of a challenge. You have to strike a balance so that you don't pair it with a busy pattern or an equally bold color that they would clash, but just enough to highlight the shade. 

Hence, I always take on this challenge quite seriously whenever I dress up with any one of my blue tops. In this outfit post, I would like to showcase how I tried to mellow down this blue top that I got from For Me for a casual look. I went with light pants to give the blue shade up-top more pop to it. I love how comfortable the fabric feels against the skin and the way it fits. Can you tell it's one of my faves?

And because I was feeling color-savvy that day, I coordinated the color of my top with my ballet flats from So! Fab. And mind you, it's studded!

For The Love of Sheer

Sheer tops are one of my favorite trends this year. This type of fabric is super easy to wear because it is lightweight and comfortable. It is perfect for all shapes and sizes, too, because of the loose quality to the fabric. I love wearing it on light jeans and shorts because it gives out that laid back and casual vibe to your whole look.

Recently, I picked out a new one when I dropped by the For Me boutique at SM Lanang. This is one of my favorite places to shop because their items offer the perfect combination of feminine and sophisticated designs. The other day, the boyf and I had this conversation about a zombie apocalypse and if there is one shop I would raid, For Me is no doubt on my list. How random.

On a Saturday night, we went out for a dinner date at a new burger joint in the city. Here is what kept us busy after.
