Denim Blouse: Two Ways

Shoes make the outfit. Do you agree? I find that with good shoes, you can make any outfit work. On the flip side, the wrong choice of footwear can ruin a good outfit. When I wore this denim blouse from Sheinside, I had a hard time choosing what shoes to pair it with. I had two options: a blush pump or my ankle boots.

Top: Sheinside / Leggings: H&M / Necklace: Born Pretty Store / Shoes: Mendrez (similar) & CLN PH

I liked that wearing the pumps added a bit of elegant flair to what would otherwise be a casual outfit. It is also a look that could be easily transitioned from desk to a night-out with the girl friends. Meanwhile, the boots is super comfortable too. I loved that with this particular shoe option, I can do anything or go anywhere I want to.

But I'd like your pulse on this: does this outfit look better with the pumps or boots?

8 Must-Have Kimonos

It took me a while to embrace the kimono trend. I am more of a cardigan girl. But when the temperature goes up during summer time, it is only practical to switch to lighter fabrics. And that is why opting for a kimono makes sense for those who want to layer their outfit. Adding to the versatility of the kimono is the fact that there are several prints to choose from. I have to admit that floral still is my favorite print, though. I also like to convert kimono as a cover-up for the beach, which further adds to the reasons why it is a smart investment piece for summer.

Are you ready to start shopping for some summer kimonos? I've gathered some of my favorites online:

Are you also into the kimono trend?

Mint Bow

Don't bows make everything look so pretty? That is why I simply could not pass up this dress from Sheinside. The back was such an unexpected surprise for the pretty modest looking style upfront. It also comes in a pretty mint color - one of my favorites this season. Hence, this was the ultimate summer dress for me.

I am happy to report that this is another excellent find from Sheinside. The dress costs only a little over $18, which is not a bad bargain for a quality piece of clothing. The chiffon material is well constructed and the color is true to the photo. What else can you ask for?

Pastel Nails from OPI

OPI is one of the best selling nail polishes in the world. And for a good reason. They have an extensive array of nail polish shades to choose from. I just finally got my hands on my own OPI nail polishes during my recent trip in Malaysia. But when I do get an appointment in a nail salon, I take advantage of the opportunity to adorn my nails with my favorite OPI nail shades.

Even though they are a lot more expensive than local nail polish brands, it is worth investing the extra money on OPI because the nail polish do not chip easily. Plus, they can also last for several days or until your next nail salon visit. I tried two nail polishes on my recent nail salon trip: OPI Tickle My France-y on my fingernails and OPI Chillin' Like a Villain on my toe nails. These were the perfect shades to wear for the summer because they are fun, vibrant and chic! And I've long been wanting to try pastel nail colors, so it was the perfect excuse to wear one on our recent summer getaway with the family.

OPI Tickle My France-y
OPI Chillin' Like a Villain

I cannot wait to experiment with other shades on my next mani-pedi session. What other OPI shades would you recommend for spring/summer? I am also considering other brands such as Essie and China Glaze and would welcome any recommendations. Thanks! Xo
