Home Decor Inspiration

Whenever I am online, I do a lot of things. One of those that I love spending my time on is to look for home interior design and decor inspirations. It is a long time dream of mine to build my own home and furnish the interior. Over the past year or so, I have gathered several design ideas that I wish to incorporate into our home. Hopefully, this year, we can get things put together.

Living Room

I never expected that I will be attracted to orange and yellow for a living room decor. But it seems to work really well with neutral or earth tones on the wall.

Kitchen and Dining

The kitchen is one of the most important part of the house for me. I suspect I am going to be spending a lot of time in the kitchen. I want something that is neat and easy on the eyes. These two look like an attainable design concept for us. As for the dining room, I prefer a small family so that is why I prefer round tables because I feel they are more intimate.

Master's Bedroom

This one is all about comfort. Any of these color schemes will do.

And for this one, the view (of course) is a bonus...

Bathroom

Last but definitely not the last, I want a bathroom that is comfy and neat-looking. A minimalist design would do just fine for him. And oh, he says that a bath tub is a must!

What is your favorite home decor theme?

February Style Remix {Houndstooth}

Quality buys for me signify items that I can remix and re-wear. I might have impulsive tendencies when it comes to shopping but I had put in my best effort to keep my shopping habits to within reasonable means.

This houndstooth skirt is one of my favorite purchases from last year. It's a favorite because I'm obsessed with the pattern (the topmost reason) but also because it is comfortable and can be styled plenty of ways. That is what I love about B&W patterns.

This look for the day was a cross between casual and sexy. This buttoned down top is a good investment for me. I can style it in 10 different ways and you would not even realize I am wearing the same top. Check two other ways I've styled it here and here

I opted to style my hair in a bun to elicit a carefree vibe to the look.

How's it going where you are? xx

Beach Wedding Dresses from TBDress.com

A beach wedding often comes to mind when you think about summer wedding. Personally, this is more like my kind of wedding. I am a self-confessed beach bum. And not forgetting to mention the fact that I have a low tolerance for cold weather. However, we're not here to talk about me so let us put that aside.

Beach weddings are such a fun event. It is a bit more casual than your usual wedding events. It is also more forgiving in terms of the dresses that guests wear to the occasion. The same is true with the bride's wedding gown.

Choosing wedding dresses for beach can lean towards more on the casual-sexy styles. You can find a few of the selection here: http://www.tbdress.com/Cheap-Beach-Wedding-Dresses-3568/

Here are some cute styles that I spotted over at TBDress.com:

I do have a bias for strapless wedding gowns, I admit. But this particular dress has that sexy elegance about it. The front looks simple with minimal accents. But the back is what blew me away. It is open backed by the edges are lined with embellishments. Hence, it is not actually bare but it provides quite an alluring display. This is the kind of look that I envision is perfect for a beach wedding.

The A-line cut on this dress features the right combination of elegance and sensuality. The embellishment around the waist area also creates a visual illusion of shape and curve. But this dress reflects what I believe is an important component when choosing a beach wedding dress: it does not look all put together yet it exudes classic elegance.

Ball gown in a beach wedding? Some might think that it is a crazy idea, but when you have a dress that looks this good, why not? The tulle skirt and the elaborate detailing on the back make it look highly sophisticated. And yet, there is a cheerful vibe to the dress that makes it a good fit for a not so formal wedding setup. Is It Summer Yet?

Floral dominate the choice of pattern in my closet. In fact, I have so much floral in my closet that I could wear one every single day for one week without repeating any item. But that hasn't stopped me from going out and grabbing some more. I had been on the prowl for floral pants for a verrrry long time (I had to put several r's in there for emphasis) but I can be quite picky, too. Whether it's ill-fit or the color, I always find something that I don't quite like.

The search is finally over. I found this electric blue pants with floral patterns from Marmalade Boutique courtesy of Jorgy 'N Missy. And the best part - I got it on sale! I love that it is so easy to wear, whether I am looking to wear it casual or a bit more dressed up. For this particular day, I opted for casual since I had a gym date after. If the top looks familiar, it's because I've worn it here.

What's your thoughts on floral pants?
