Maxi Moment

Maxis, for me, are like crotchless yoga pants. Don't be fooled - maxi skirts might make an outfit look pulled together but it took me literally a few minutes to get ready. And that is why I love them! Flowy maxi skirts, in particular, are my favorite! I've worn this look a few times but this is the first time that I had featured it on the blog, just because I thought it deserves some love.

I got this low-back floral top from a friend's shop - In Vogue Chic. The maxi skirt, on the other hand, is an old one. Therefore, this is one of those "shop my own closet" looks that I like doing more of recently. I just recently discovered that I've been doing too much shopping and have switched my mindset into reinventing looks from pieces that I already own and being smarter about where and when I shop.

It was only until I looked at the photos in my laptop that I realized the monochromatic theme in the look. Can you tell I love colors so much?

Vacation Style: Part 2

On our second day at Dahilayan Adventure Park, I sported pastel colors and I just loved how comfortable this ensemble is. The shorts might look familiar; it's because I've done a post about it here. I got it from SheInside.com and is one of my favorite purchases from the website apart from this lovely maxi dress. But I digress... I loved the pairing of color with the coral shorts and the mint top. I also added in my new floral scarf to create a layering effect to this look.

Aside from the fun marriage of pastel colors in this look, this outfit served its purpose for me. It was comfortable enough for me to wear on a few zip line rides and for hiking around the park. I would not compromise comfort, not even for the sake of style.

Coral & Lace

When coral became a hot trend in 2013, I could remember gushing about it. I saw a lot of beautiful bloggers showcasing this color in various styles and forms. To my surprise, I do not own a single coral piece (save for the scarf that the boyf gifted to me) in my closet. But when I saw this coral maxi skirt as I was shopping one day, I could not get myself to put it back on the rack.

As you can see, I went all-out glam with this look. I find that there is a feminine quality to coral. I decided to go extra glam with this new statement necklace I got from Persunmall and my halter lace top. I've also added a sleek ponytail into the mix so it makes the neckline highly prominent. To say this is one of my favorite looks as of late is a bit of an understatement.

What's your thought on coral?

Cobalt & Coral

I hate cold weather. I have such a low tolerance for the cold that I'd always find myself longing for hot weather so I can go out, go swimming, or just do something that does not require me to be draped in thick jackets or blazers to fight off the biting cold. But with the changing season, I have found consolation in coping with the cold weather and keeping up with my style. I have to make do as I wait for the warm weather to come rushing in again.

I wore this cobalt blue tank top post-gym because I wanted something comfortable to wear. But my need to be comfortable defied logic as I quickly realized that it would be too cold to wear at night. Cold nights in the Philippines don't really get to below-zero, but still it is cold! Hence, my coral scarf came to the rescue! I quickly improvised my outfit so that I can wear the tank top that I wanted, not feel too cold, and still look chic!

How did I do with my improvisation?
