How to Wear Lace Up Skirt

Top / Skirt (only $13)

The lace-up trend has been around for sometime but I've mostly seen it on dresses and tops. Recently, I was also starting to see this on skirts used in lieu of buttons or zippers. I think it was a fun idea so I jumped at the chance to try it. Then, I saw this skirt from Shein and there was no further discussion.

When it arrived in the mail, I was doubly ecstatic! I have purchased several pieces from Shein for years now and this is one of my best buys yet. The stretchy fabric provides enough room to put it on and also secures to your body without being too tight. I would consider this a statement skirt so I tried to tone everything else down with this outfit. Of course, I couldn't resist going matchy-matchy with my buckle strap block heels from Sammydress.

How would you style this lace-up skirt?

Pink + Leopard

I have always been of the opinion that red is the best color to pair with leopard prints. However, I just recently discovered a new and equally stunning combo: pink and leopard. I bought this leopard shorts from Choies and one of my favorite shorts of all time. I get lots of compliments with this shorts and rightfully so. The fit is perfect and is made of high quality materials.

When I brought this shorts for my vacation, I paired it with my pink ballerina top from HerBench. It was the perfect choice of outfit for a day of road trip, mountain trail hike, elephant riding and exploring the Oriental Village. A messy braid was the perfect finishing touch to this look.

I would also like to share some more photos of me showcasing this outfit in action:

Graffiti Shorts

On my trip to Malaysia, Langkawi Island was our first stop. We spent two nights and three days at this beautiful island. I compare it to the Philippines' Boracay island, which is a hot spot for tourists. The beach is also within walking distance from the resorts so you can conveniently take a dip, have a picnic along the beach, or engage in water sports activities whenever you want. I was quite overwhelmed by the size of the island. There were too many sights to see and/or explore. Hence, comfortable clothes and footwear were a must.

This blue graffiti print shorts from Sheinside was one of those items that I bought specifically for this trip. I bought a lot of comfortable shorts because I knew there was going to be a lot of walking and traveling. And so, I tried my best to stay as comfortable as possible. And there is nothing more casual and vacation-ready than a pair of shorts and spaghetti strap top. I love this shorts, though, because it is quite versatile. You can wear it low-key and casual like I did here, or you can also pair it with a more dressy top.
