Wishlist: Denim Overalls

I hope you're feeling nostalgic because denim overalls are back! I've been on the fence about this returning trend lately, but I've committed to keep an open mind so I finally got my own (it will be featured in a post soon!). I love that there are more options now than ever. From denim jumpsuits, to denim overall dresses... take your pick! Even though it is considered a childhood staple, there are more stylish versions to make it easier for grown-ups to wear them too. In fact, I've picked out a few designer pieces below, for those who would like to invest in high quality denim:

Splendid Railroad Dress
Blank Denim Overalls
MOTHER Swooner Short Overalls
White Frayed Denim Overall Dress
Buttoned Front Light Blue Denim Overall Dress
Denim Overall Dress
Black Denim Overall Shorts
Ripped Loose Fit Denim Jumpsuit
Front Pocket Denim Overall Dress

The good thing about denim overalls is that you can create different personalities with this look depending on style and accessories. This is a great go-to option for women looking for a relaxed, sporty look. Are you open to trying the denim overall trend too?

Beauty Products I'm Curious to Try

It might be embarrassing to admit it, but I don't know how to do my own makeup. I guess it's laziness but I just don't have the patience to spend more than an hour doing my own makeup. On most days, it takes me no more than 15 minutes to put on makeup. I often stick to the basics such as primer, foundation, lipstick, blush and minimal eye makeup. I mean - shouldn't we all?

Despite my lack of ability, that does not stop my love for collecting beauty products. In fact, I have a bunch of must-try items that I've been curious to try. My favorite brands for lipstick have been MAC, L'Oreal and Maybelline. For foundation, it's Revlon and MAX Factor. For blush, it's been Butter London. And for eye makeup, I've tried mostly Maybelline products. These brands are my go-to when I need to replenish my makeup stash. But I am also open to new ideas to try out some other brands and/or products especially if it meant getting them at more reasonable prices.

Tarte Cosmetics Water Foundation SPF 15

I love a good lightweight foundation that offers full coverage. And that is exactly what the Water Foundation SPF 15 promises to bring. The Max Factor Liquid Illusion Foundation is still my favorite and go-to foundation to this day. But this one has got me curious enough to try. It is also available in a wide range of shades so it is suitable for all skin types and tones. Check it for yourself:

Tarte Cosmetics Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation

As an alternative to liquid foundation, I also try to keep a powder foundation in my makeup stash. This is a 2-in-1 product that acts as a full coverage powder foundation that is highly blendable, but also offers skin care and anti-aging benefits. It also promises to never flake or cause your skin to dry - bonus!

Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette

Made from natural ingredients, this vegan highlighting palette is great for strobing. I'd love to try it to give that natural glow to my skin. Anyone tried this yet?

Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Conditioner

I have this problem with chapped lips so I always look for moisturizing lip products such as lip balms. But this is my first time to try a lip conditioner. It is also made with Moroccan rose oil so it is lightweight and nourishing.

NYX Audrey Matte Lipstick

I've been wanting to try NYX products for a while now but couldn't get myself to. When I found this lipstick at Lulu's though, the shade caught my eye. And being a matte lipstick, I got even more curious. If you have any review, I'd love to check it out particularly this gorgeous shade!

So Fine Micro Liner

Gone are the days when I'm scared to wear eye liner - I've been experimenting with its use lately. And I love and enjoy the process. Currently, I am using Maybelline Crayon Liner but I've been told to try a gel liner. Hence, I have this in my wishlist!

Sigma Beauty Midsummer Bronze Loose Shimmer

A hint of bronze hue is my favorite way to accent any makeup look lately. Hence, this loose shimmer powder caught my eye instantly. I love that it can be used to provide a subtle shimmer to the face and cheeks. Plus, it's paraben-free!

Which of these beauty products should I give a try?

Wishlist: Blogger Essentials

As much as I hate to use the words 'resolution' and 'new year' in one sentence, I would like to break that personal rule today. I have decided to put more work into blogging for 2016. It does not necessarily mean that I will be posting more often. I would like to retain the life-work-blogging balance that I've established in 2015, but I hope to take blogging more seriously in 2016. Over the past few years, I've looked at blogging as a hobby. I would like to explore the business side of blogging this year. It is a huge challenge and one that would require my persistent attention and hard work. But I could not be more excited! It is one of the things that lights my fire and I am embracing the challenge with much enthusiasm.

And to help make this goal come into fruition, I've listed a few things that I would like to add to my collection to make blogging more productive:

Sticky Note Set / Garance Dore 2016 Les Femmes Desk Calendar / Kate Spade Deco Dot 12 Month Agenda / Kate Spade Pencil Me In Pouch / Soiree Noire Mug (because I need coffee, duh!)

What is one blogging essential you can't live without?

November Wishlist: Accessories Edition

 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

I like adding fun accessories to my outfit. They make a simple outfit pop and is a great way to infuse some personality. I've collated my coveted accessories right now from Sili Sunglasses, Lulu's and Baublebar. You should definitely check these stores out if you are looking for classic and trendy items!

Which pieces do you covet too?

Sweater Weather

When the cold months come rolling around, you need to have a few cozy pieces to add to your wardrobe rotation. One of my favorite things to wear during the cooler months are sweaters/sweater tops. Sweaters are versatile and easy to wear or style. I've curated a few finds from two of my favorite places to shop online (Shein and Lulu's) that you may want to add to your fall/winter looks:

Blue Cable Knit Sweater / Burgundy Cable Knit Sweater
Beige Sweater / Black and Ivory Cropped Sweater
Light Grey Sweater / Light Grey Cropped Cable Knit Sweater
Grey Dip Hem Ombre Sweater / V-Neck Apricot Sweater / Striped Slim Sweater

I love adding knit sweaters to my wardrobe because they are easy to transition and can be worn for not-so-cold days, too. Do any of these sweaters catch your fancy? What is your cold weather essential?

Pom Pom Obsession: Choies Wishlist

This past summer there has been an overload of fun and playful trends that came out but none I loved or were more fascinated with than pom poms. I've seen them used in tops, shorts, dresses, kimonos... literally everything! Tassels or pom poms provide a casual and playful touch to an outfit. At the same time, there is something boho about this particular style detail that I totally dig, even though I am not too big on boho styles.

Today, I've collaborated with Choies.com to bring you a few of my favorite pieces from their website featuring the lovely pom pom trend. I am so obsessed with the pineapple print shorts and the tropical kimono with pom poms, but let me know your picks as well.

Sunflower Print Romper / Floral Print Romper

Pineapple Print Shorts / Multi-color Dots Print Shorts

Tropical Print Kimono / Blue Oversized Poncho Kimono

White Off-Shoulder Romper / Pink Spaghetti Pom Pom Hem Vest

Are you digging the trend as much as I do? If you have featured a similar trend, leave your links on the comment and I'd love to check it out!
