Shopbop Surprise Sale

When Shopbop offers a sale, you can bet your money that it will be a good one. This one in particular is something that I am personally excited about. This is a Boutique sale, which means you will have a chance to purchase designer items on a discounted price. That does not happen often and it's the perfect opportunity to scratch a few designer items off your wishlist. When it comes to shopping sales at Shopbop, I always look at the shoes and bag section first. If you're going to get something at a sale, it might as well be some of those prized items. Below are some of my favorites from the sale:

Schutz Clove Sandals
Alexa Wang Viviane Sandals

Loren Hope Fall 2016 Collection

It's no secret that I love accessories and jewelries. These are my go-to when I need to dress up a little and an accessory or two can get the job done on a whim! Personal style bloggers will probably relate to this - there are some days wherein we just want to put on a tee and denim jeans. But adding a statement jewelry or accessory can instantly elevate the look. You can look polished without trying. For this reason, Loren Hope has caught my eye. I first found out about the brand when I saw some of their pieces on Instagram.

Even though I love a good statement piece, I like elegant pieces that make a statement without being too bold or in-your-face with the designs. For their fall collection, I find myself drooling over every piece. But I've included just some of my top favorites for you to be inspired by! You can also check out their entire Fall 2016 collection here

Living in Color

Accessories add that element of fun to your outfit. It can be a source of texture, a pop of color or some kind of contrast that elevates the look. One of my favorite ways to use accessories for an accent in an outfit is to introduce color. If you don't like vibrant outfits, you can keep your ensemble monochromatic and then simply add a bright pair of earrings or necklace to integrate color into the look. It is bold but subtle, daring but contrived.

The range of colored tassels available at BaubleBar's website is very impressive but I've also picked out a few items from my other go-to websites when it comes to fashionable accessories:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8

How do you introduce color into your outfit? Do you prefer it as an accent or in the main piece?

Hat Attack

I've never been a hat girl. They didn't appeal to me and I think I never looked good on them. But when I bought my first straw hat, I fell in love with it. I love how it adds to an outfit, especially in your summer style. Pair it with a cute sundress, you have a rocking summer outfit. It's been a while since I last bought one and I think my one and only straw hat needs a new friend. Thus, I've collected some of the ones that I've added to my online shopping wishlist to get your pulse on this.

Cream Lace Hat (here and here)
Billabong Floppy Straw Hat
Dark Grey Sun Hat
White Pom-Pom Large Brim Hat
Khaki Striped Hat
Vacation Bow Brimmed Straw Hat
Red Raw Trim Brimmed Hat
Eugenia Kim Bunny Hat
Artesano Playa Crochet Hat

Which of these hats should I get?

Uncommon Goods + Unique Gift Ideas

I am of the opinion that accessories and jewelries can elevate a simple outfit. Even when you are wearing a simple tee and jeans, pairing it with the right accessories can transform the outfit. Therefore, I always relish the idea of stumbling upon a website that offers unique jewelry options. When I was introduced to Uncommon Goods, I knew right away that this would be a great website to support. You can check out the website's unique collection of handmade jewelry here

When I tied the knot last year, I bought my bridesmaids and maid of honor earrings as gifts so they all wore the same earrings on my wedding day. Jewelry is and always will be a classic gift idea for special occasions like weddings, bridal showers, birthdays and more. You will be spoiled for choice at Uncommon Goods; just check it out for yourself on their website. I've also included some gift ideas that you can choose from, especially if you are attending a special occasion soon:

New Favorite Products: Home Edition

I'd like to take a break from the fashion and style posts for a while and share a few home decor updates. Technically, this isn't a home decor update but more of a roundup of new items that I have added as accent to my home - specifically, my bedroom vanity. We have a small space and so we had to improvise a lot with what we have to turn it into a comfortable space for us to live in. It's a work-in-progress but I love how it is turning out.

This Bride lidded box from Gift Boutique is one of my favorite additions to my vanity. This is a small porcelain container which I use to store my stud earrings in. I love that it is large enough to store my earrings but small enough not to take up too much space. It also comes in a pretty mint color (which coincidentally is also one of our wedding colors) and the Bride calligraphy on the cover for a personal touch.

This prism jewelry stand is another favorite new addition to my home decor, especially my vanity. This jewelry holder comes in a unique prism shape, which I use for storing my necklaces and earrings in. I love the matte brass finish that doubles as an accent to my room's interior decor.

This clear acrylic lipstick holder is the most recent buy of this batch. I needed a way to get my lipstick more organized rather than keeping them in my makeup bag all the time. I love that it is easier for me to pick the shade that I want, which will hopefully make it easier to get dressed up. I definitely need to buy a new one to cope with my growing lisptick collection. Right now, I've only placed my most favorite lipsticks.

Okay, I know this isn't related to home products but I just had to squeeze this in as it is a relatively new purchase (worn it only once since it arrived). I have been looking for a new wedge for a while now but wanted something with short heels. Most of the wedges that I found locally or online were at least 5 inches in height. I opted for shorter heels (this one was 1.5 inches in height) to wear with casual outfits and not hurt my feet in the process. This wedge sandals from Splendid was super comfortable on - first time I wore it, I had to walk around for 5 hours and did not feel a thing. Bonus - it's only $68!

What is your favorite new purchase?

Wishlist: Ear Crawlers

Ear crawlers. You've seen them in blogs, shopping sites, celebrities... literally, everywhere! This new trend has got me curious and craving for one of my own. I love that these earrings that 'crawl' up to your ears give an edgy twist to an outfit. However, it is also versatile enough to be used as a dainty access to your outfit, think crystals or anything sparkly. Indeed, ear crawlers are a combination of stud and cuff earrings... and there are so many reasons to want one. I've curated a few of my fave finds online to get you even more excited about this trend:

Gala Ear Crawlers / Double Dipper Ear Crawler / Asymmetrical Tinker Bell Ear Crawler
Mohawk Ear Duo / Asymmetrical Falkor Ear Crawler / Caesar Ear Crawlers
Rebecca Minkoff Boho Bead Ear Crawler / Sam Edelman Tapered Pave Ear Crawler / Kate Spade Dainty Sparklers Ear Crawler

Are you loving ear crawlers too? Which of these would you pick out?
