Must-Have Weekender Bags

If you are a travel junkie like me, it is important to have a weekender bag in your wardrobe. A weekender bag combines comfort, functionality and style. Therefore, it is the perfect choice for women who like to stay on top of their style even when heading out for a weekend trip or getaway. It is a great bag to carry around for those spontaneous trips too. Whether you travel by car, train or plane, this bag is a must-have!



Above are two of my favorite weekender bags that I currently own. One is from Deux Lux, which is an oversized tote that can carry my hygiene kit, makeup bag and a few clothes (maybe a couple of tops and bottoms, or a few dresses). Despite being so functional, it can also fit into your stylish outfits like this casual preppy look. The other one is from Herschel. This is designed for comfort and durability. It might not look big enough but it has surprised me with how much it can carry! I've featured this duffel/weekender bag in this post

Beauty Products I'm Curious to Try

It might be embarrassing to admit it, but I don't know how to do my own makeup. I guess it's laziness but I just don't have the patience to spend more than an hour doing my own makeup. On most days, it takes me no more than 15 minutes to put on makeup. I often stick to the basics such as primer, foundation, lipstick, blush and minimal eye makeup. I mean - shouldn't we all?

Despite my lack of ability, that does not stop my love for collecting beauty products. In fact, I have a bunch of must-try items that I've been curious to try. My favorite brands for lipstick have been MAC, L'Oreal and Maybelline. For foundation, it's Revlon and MAX Factor. For blush, it's been Butter London. And for eye makeup, I've tried mostly Maybelline products. These brands are my go-to when I need to replenish my makeup stash. But I am also open to new ideas to try out some other brands and/or products especially if it meant getting them at more reasonable prices.

Tarte Cosmetics Water Foundation SPF 15




I love a good lightweight foundation that offers full coverage. And that is exactly what the Water Foundation SPF 15 promises to bring. The Max Factor Liquid Illusion Foundation is still my favorite and go-to foundation to this day. But this one has got me curious enough to try. It is also available in a wide range of shades so it is suitable for all skin types and tones. Check it for yourself:




Tarte Cosmetics Confidence Creamy Powder Foundation



As an alternative to liquid foundation, I also try to keep a powder foundation in my makeup stash. This is a 2-in-1 product that acts as a full coverage powder foundation that is highly blendable, but also offers skin care and anti-aging benefits. It also promises to never flake or cause your skin to dry - bonus!

Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette




Made from natural ingredients, this vegan highlighting palette is great for strobing. I'd love to try it to give that natural glow to my skin. Anyone tried this yet?

Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Conditioner



I have this problem with chapped lips so I always look for moisturizing lip products such as lip balms. But this is my first time to try a lip conditioner. It is also made with Moroccan rose oil so it is lightweight and nourishing.

NYX Audrey Matte Lipstick


I've been wanting to try NYX products for a while now but couldn't get myself to. When I found this lipstick at Lulu's though, the shade caught my eye. And being a matte lipstick, I got even more curious. If you have any review, I'd love to check it out particularly this gorgeous shade!

So Fine Micro Liner



Gone are the days when I'm scared to wear eye liner - I've been experimenting with its use lately. And I love and enjoy the process. Currently, I am using Maybelline Crayon Liner but I've been told to try a gel liner. Hence, I have this in my wishlist!

Sigma Beauty Midsummer Bronze Loose Shimmer


A hint of bronze hue is my favorite way to accent any makeup look lately. Hence, this loose shimmer powder caught my eye instantly. I love that it can be used to provide a subtle shimmer to the face and cheeks. Plus, it's paraben-free!

I've never been a hat girl. They didn't appeal to me and I think I never looked good on them. But when I bought my first straw hat, I fell in love with it. I love how it adds to an outfit, especially in your summer style. Pair it with a cute sundress, you have a rocking summer outfit. It's been a while since I last bought one and I think my one and only straw hat needs a new friend. Wishlist: Choker Necklaces

Back in the early 2000s or late 90's, chokers were a huge deal! But like most trends, it has been revived today and is now one of the top fashion trends. Personally, I wasn't a big fan at first but I have started to warm up to the trend seeing how it can easily be worked into glam outfits! The versatility of choker necklaces also open up more styling possibilities so you are not limited to the basic black choker necklaces. You can opt for semi-jeweled or colored ones, too.

There are several ways to style a choker necklace. The most obvious one is to wear it over a turtleneck top. It is the easiest way to pull of a street style chic outfit. But if you want a more boheme vibe, you can wear your choker with a long, layered necklace. You can also pair it with a sundress and boots to make it look even more boho.

Since becoming a personal style blogger, I've opened myself up to a wide range of fashion trends. In fact, I've worn a few things that I have previously sworn I would not see myself wearing. Crop tops are one of those trends that I love seeing on others but never quite had the confidence to wear it myself. Sure, I've worn some crop tops here, here and here, but I am still looking for ways to wear the crop top trend without showing off too much skin. High waisted pants and skirts are my go-to option to wear with crop tops but I need more ideas. Hence, I would love to hear what you would suggest to wearing crop tops for those that aren't as confident with it.

Summer Prints Series: Tropical

During summer, if I want to deviate from floral, there is one other go-to print for me: palm/tropical prints.
