Trend I Love: Druzy Jewelry

In case you didn't know, I am a huge accessory lover. I've had my phases wherein I would be completely obsessed with a specific trend such as tassel jewelry, ear crawlers and rose gold accessories. This is a new one that has been capturing my attention lately: druzy jewelry.

Druzy jewelry is made of gemstones and minerals. These gemstones were collected and chosen for their unique aesthetic characteristics. These types of jewelry are characterized by the glittering rocks that vary in shape, size and color. Most druzy jewelry are made of 100% natural gemstones but there are also synthetic ones. Nonetheless, the aesthetic value of this type of jewelry is unique, noticeable and undeniable.

Do you like the druzy jewelry trend?

Graphic Tops Obsession

Graphic tees was once been a bone of contention for men's fashion. Times have changed and more women are rocking this trend than ever. Just ask fashion bloggers, for example. I can attest to this as I am also a fan. It is one of those fashion pieces that straddle the line of androgyny as evidenced by the fact that many graphic tees come boyfriend style. But this is exactly where the appeal is coming from. It is also the secret to polished but effortless street style.

In case you didn't know, I'm obsessed with graphic tops (as if the title of this post does not say it enough). Need proof? Check out these posts of mine in the past showcasing my favorite graphic tops:

Save or Splurge: Flare Jeans

If you've spent the past few years religiously living in your skinny jeans, you're not the only one. I know I've lived in mine for more almost a decade now. I profess to how simple they are to style and make a simple outfit look chic (with the right pair of shoes, of course!). I simply cannot live without a pair of skinny jeans. But there is one trend that has caught my eye because of its flair for style. Since I've talked about the resurgence of choker necklaces (a retro trend), I've been delving into other fashion trends that have also been revived. And one of them is flare jeans. In fact, I've seen it widely showcased by fashion bloggers across the blogosphere. It seems that they have become really popular with fashion bloggers!

Although I am not ready to give them a try yet, I would not close my door on the idea. I love how it does elongate the legs, though. If you feel the same way about flare jeans like I do, these great pieces I found online will hopefully incite your curiosity about this returning trend. In addition, I've included two options for you, whether you want to stick to your budget or splurge a little.

Wishlist: Choker Necklaces

Back in the early 2000s or late 90's, chokers were a huge deal! But like most trends, it has been revived today and is now one of the top fashion trends. Personally, I wasn't a big fan at first but I have started to warm up to the trend seeing how it can easily be worked into glam outfits! The versatility of choker necklaces also open up more styling possibilities so you are not limited to the basic black choker necklaces. You can opt for semi-jeweled or colored ones, too.

Lacey Ryan Suede Choker Necklace
Ettika Choker Necklace
Vanessa Mooney Choker Necklace
Black Lace Choker Necklace
Black Lace Choker Necklace
Turquoise Choker Necklace
Rebecca Minkoff Bead Collar Necklace
Kenneth Jay Lane Layered Choker Necklace
Ben-Amun Choker Necklace
Layered Clover Pendant Choker Necklace
Black Minimalist Choker Necklace
Layered Studs Embellishment Necklace

There are several ways to style a choker necklace. The most obvious one is to wear it over a turtleneck top. It is the easiest way to pull of a street style chic outfit. But if you want a more boheme vibe, you can wear your choker with a long, layered necklace. You can also pair it with a sundress and boots to make it look even more boho.

But since choker necklace is basically a retro trend, you can pair it with retro pieces to create that particular style. If you have other suggestions on how to wear the choker necklace trend, I'd love to hear them below!

Trend Report: Shirt Dress

Shirt dresses... for a while, I had shied away from wearing them because (to be honest) who would want to look like they forgot to put on pants? But with busier days as a married woman, I have come to appreciate the ease and comfort they bring to an outfit. This couldn't be any more true for the summer days. They offer the comfort of wearing light dresses as they are easy to wear. Perfect for brunch or for running errands or doing the grocery, I have found myself yearning for shirt dresses. In fact, I've purchased more shirt dresses in the past couple of months than I had owned my entire life (no joke).

If you want to enjoy the same comfort and ease in your outfit, I've picked out a few of my favorite (aka coveted) shirt dresses right now:

Frayed Denim Shirt Dress
Belted Chambray Shirt Dress
Contemporary Shirt Dress
Striped Pocket Shirt Dress
Floral Long Shirt Dress
Longline Cotton Shirt Dress
Lulu's Black Shirt Dress
Contemporary Plaid Shirt Dress
Self-Tie Collar Shirt Dress

What is your favorite way to style shirt dresses? I'd like to pick your brain a little and get more styling ideas I could use...

Currently Craving: Textured Dresses

What is it textured dresses that make them so pretty? I love a good textured dress because the fabric makes a statement in itself. It is festive and fanciful! Textured dresses can also be worn casually or fit for a special occasion like cocktail soirees or wedding, perhaps. If you're not convinced, check out these gorgeous dresses that I've curated for you today:
