Friday Favorites: Crossbody Bags

It's Friday!! Aren't you all excited? I have nothing specific planned for the weekend but it is a nice change of pace from the weekday rush of trying to meet deadlines, sending reports, etc. For this particular edition of my Friday Favorites, I would like to showcase a few drool-worthy pieces I spotted at Persunmall. In the many times I've bought off the site, I haven't really had the chance to order any bags (mostly dresses and accessories). But I just discovered a gem when I looked up their bags section to find some pretty irresistible crossbody bags. This is one of my favorite types of bags to use on casual days because they are so easy to use, wear and style.

The monsoon season in the Philippines can be unforgiving. Hence, I always brace myself for rain-filled days for days to weeks on no end. Even when I might be tempted to stay in bed and curl up, there are times I have to get out and brave the rain. Layering element - For really cold months, try layering your hoodie with several other pieces. To pull off layering, try combining different types of fabric. 

Go Oversized - For some reason, oversized hoodies look good on women. It provides a relaxed and laidback feel to your outfit while keeping you warm while you're out and about.

Red, White & Blue

No, this isn't a late attempt to join in on the July 4th festivities with my US friends. I just so happened to pinpoint this color symmetry with my recent outfit that I had worn. If you can remember, I've styled this cobalt skirt here but I have to admit that I prefer this more recent look. I love harmony of colors between the red and white stripes with the cobalt blue skirt.

The final touches to the outfit included my new mint necklace and a bun. It is a very comfortable outfit but a step above my usual casual looks. It also gives me a great sense of satisfaction to know that this midi skirt has proven to be more versatile than I thought it would be. Yay for smart buys!
