Pencil skirts are my new favorites. When I don't feel like wearing a dress, I usually turn to them as an alternative. The silhouette it creates make any outfit look ultra feminine (which is why I love them). But if you are not confident with your body, it can be a bit intimidating to wear them. The eyelash and lip print tee is all over the blogosphere. I am well aware of that but I am shamelessly joining in on the bandwagon. This print is simply too cute to pass up. I have actually worn this tee several times since it arrived in the mail. However, this look that I am sharing with you today is my favorite way that I have styled this tee.

This mermaid tail skirt from Oasap has been featured plenty of times in this blog (see original post here). In real life, it has served its purpose quite well. The reason why I like it so much is because it instantly dresses up simple outfits, just like this lash and lip print tee. The color also commands attention and anyone who knows me knows that I love adding color to my outfit. For casual weekends, this look will definitely be my new staple.

Cure for Rainy Days

The weather hasn't been the best recently. Since the new year, it has been raining non-stop. I have spent my days at home and I can't even be bothered to go out. But then I quickly reminded myself of my goals for 2017. I can't start the year slacking off. There I was braving the rain in an effort to shoot some photos for this blog.

I was also slightly thankful for this cold weather since I got the opportunity to wear this coat from Fashionmia. Living in the tropics, the rain provided the only escape from the heat and humidity. This put a stall on my fashion dreams of donning a coat. I took this rainy season as the perfect opportunity to wear my coat. For a coat with such superb quality, it can't be left to gather dust in my closet. It comes with a thick material to provide the right amount of insulation without being too heavy. The faux suede finish and navy color combine to give it a sophisticated look. 

It might seem shallow that I am only happy with the rain since I got to wear my coat. However, there is a deep message embedded here, which is also something I can take with me for 2017. You cannot control some factors in your life (such as the rain which has made a lazy girl out of me). But instead of trying to change what you can't, look at how you can make the situation better. If it requires me being more stylish, then I'd be the first to grab at the chance!

Must-Have Maxi Dress

There are so many reasons to love wearing maxi dresses, but if I had to pick just one, it's the fact that you can wear one all throughout the year. The length makes it ideal to transition even for cooler months. At the same time, the casual feel and style makes it great for summer time wear when you want to stay cool but chic. I just recently added one to my growing collection and it's another one from Shein.

The print might be a bit reminiscent of summer fashion but the fabric is extremely comfortable you'd want to wear it all year long! The cotton blends fabric was truly a welcome surprise! I love its comfy feel especially in this crazy season we're having wherein the days are extremely humid and the nights are extremely cold (due to the rain!). Hence, this maxi dress is a must-have in my book. I can wear it as is on those hot and humid days, or layer with a denim jacket or cardigan on cooler days!
