Concrete Jungle

Dress: Twinkledeals (c/o)
Earrings: Happiness Boutique (c/o)

Leopard is my go-to when it comes to styling animal prints. It is a classic but exotic print that can add instant oomph to an outfit. But cheetah print is slowly gaining the attention of everyone else in the fashion world as the next best print to leopard. This dress from Twinkledeals quickly won me over. I love that the cheetah print is subtly done so I was able to pull off this semi-glam look.

When it comes to styling statement dresses with bold prints, I think it is easy to get away with wearing minimal accessories and jewelry. I tried to let the dress be the "star" of this outfit by styling it minimally; albeit the statement earrings from Happiness Boutique added that glam factor it needed. Plus, this black purse from Deux Lux worked beautifully with this glam outfit inspiration. For that added glam effect, I finished off the look with messy waves and MAC craving for a hint of berry to my lips.

How to Wear Plaid Pants

Top: Shein
Pants: Shein
Shoes: Steve Madden (sold out - similar)
Earrings: Kenneth Jay Lane

I loved the first Wifey top I got from Shein so much that I got this V-neck tee version too. It came out perfectly and the fabric is comfy as can be. In the same week, I also got the latest package from Shein with this plaid pants. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when placing my order. I've never tried buying pants from Shein before and I've always read reviews of the pants sizing being too small. I opted for the plaid print because it has that classic touch to it despite being somewhat of a trendy piece.

I decided to wear the pants with my new Wifey tee. It is a casual and corporate chic look, especially since I've paired it with my red pumps from Steve Madden. The pants look amazing, but not without some minor issues in terms of sewing quality. Other than that, I was pretty impressed with the type of fabric and love how it feels worn.

Style Tip: And now for the style tip, you can wear plaid pants like I did here. Wear one piece of plaid at a time to keep your outfit from looking overwhelmingly busy. As you can see here, I opted for a solid colored top so the plaid pants become the focal piece of the outfit. Another tip that you can incorporate is to choose a piece of clothing within the same color palette as the plaid piece you are wearing. In this case, I paired the black and white pants with a dark blue (almost black from afar) to provide symmetry with the color scheme.

Rosegal Lavender Crochet Dress

Dress: Rosegal (c/o)
Clutch: old
Shoes: Steve Madden c/o Shopbop
Earrings: Adia Kibur c/o Shopbop

Let's talk about Rosegal for a second... This was my first time to order anything from this website but I am impressed. It's one of many websites that offer affordable and trendy pieces but it is among the best (in my opinion). I got this lavender crochet dress to consider for a wedding that I am going to attend soon. I have had my eye on this dress from another website but saw it at a more affordable price at Rosegal so I decided it was the most opportune moment to get my hands on it.

As you can see, the dress is as beautiful as it was on the website. I love the color too. One of the reasons why I was drawn to it is because I felt that I did not have enough lavender pieces in my closet. This dress would considerably expand the color wheel in my wardrobe. Plus, the material is thick, heavy and looks durable for its price! I spotted a couple of loose threads but these are minor issues compared to the overall quality of the dress. I wanted to up the chic factor of this look by pairing the dress with my reliable Steve Madden red pumps and red chain clutch bag. You've seen this pairing before in this Classic Combo post, but I also felt this combo would look great with this dress.

Have you shopped Rosegal before? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Meanwhile, you can follow Rosegal on Facebook and Instagram.

Classic Combo

Dress: WAYF
Shoes: Steve Madden
Watch: Michael Kors
Earrings: Happiness Boutique (c/o)

An LBD or little black dress is a closet staple in my book, and I'm pretty sure the same is true for most other women (not just bloggers). An LBD is a versatile piece that can be easily dressed up or down. It is also my go-to option for cocktails and special occasions. Aside from an LBD, a pair of red pumps is another go-to for me.

This look I am showcasing you today is therefore a classic combo: LBD and red pumps. This is my favorite cocktail look of all time. You can never go wrong with red pumps, as much as you can't go wrong with red lipstick -- especially when it's Steve Madden. I love adding the pops of red from the heels and the clutch bag with my lace LBD from WAYF. This LBD being made of lace is another hit in my book. WAYF can do no wrong.

Modern Lace

Dress: Dresslink (c/o)
Clutch: CNDirect (c/o)

Watch: RumbaTime

Shoes: Steve Madden
Earrings: Kenneth Jay Lane (only $14!)

It's no secret that lace is one of my favorite things to wear and that blue (cobalt, in particular) is my favorite color. Just imagine my excitement when I saw this dress at Dresslink. My eyes widened with excitement. I do that a lot when I spot a top or dress I love off the rack in a boutique. Without hesitation, I clicked the add to cart button.

At its price, this dress exceeded expectation. It makes for a regal look despite its simplicity in style. It has the right amount of modern flair because of the unconventional color on the dress and the touches of modern accessories (case in point: my gold clutch). I could definitely see myself re-creating this look as a wedding guest - I just seem to get that kind of vibe from the dress.

Summery Stripes

I've previously talked about my thoughts on crop tops here and here. Crop tops are not my number one option to wear when putting my outfit together. However, I do reach out for them once in a while when I want to create a particular look. I know that I don't have the perfect supermodel bod (though I haven't stopped wishing, or working for it) but I think you don't have to have the perfect body to wear crop tops with confidence.

On the contrary, I like the sense of empowerment I get from wearing crop tops. It not just shows you are confident but that you love your body. As the old phrase goes, "If you got it, flaunt it." When I got this top from Sammydress, my initial thought was excitement. It is just about summer time, so I have the perfect excuse to wear them more often. And it comes in a classic striped pattern. I paired it with a high waisted cobalt midi skirt just to let the skin peek a bit.
