2013 Golden Globes Red Carpet Fashion Report

The 2013 Golden Globe Awards was held Sunday, January 13th, in Beverly Hills, CA wherein lots of stars from the film, music, and TV industry came in droves. And whenever the stars gather, you know there's one thing that most of us look to first - fashion! We've got quite a few hits and misses this year, but it is fantastic how we got quite a showcase of colors from different stars.

Also, check out my picks for every color... See if we have the same picks!

Black

Favorite: Katharine McPhee - Love the sexy vibe of this outfit - it was revealing but not tacky. Her hair also completed this look, don't think she could've styled it any better.

White

Favorite: Heidi Klum - This was tough. I was torn between Heidi and Amanda (that lace dress is gorgeous!). But I had to give Heidi props for making this dress look that good for a woman her age. I bet those in their 20s can only dream of pulling off this one!

Red

Favorite: Jennifer Garner - I would've picked Zooey because that dress is amazing. But she got minus points for me for having a crumpled look on that dress. A little more polish and she could've been my pick.

Pastel

Favorite: Jessica Alba - That color is divine! I also love Nicole's dress but the shade on Jessica's dress fits her skin tone perfectly.

Nude/Glitter

Favorite: Megan Fox - From the hair, to the earrings, to the dress, to her makeup - she's perfectly stunning!

Worst Dressed

I've had two picks for the worst dressed celebrities in this year's Golden Globe Awards: Kaley Cuoco and Sienna Miller. First off, I love Kaley but her make-up is horrendous. The dress might be salvaged, if only for its ill-fit, which makes it look so uncomfortable on her. But that make-up? There's no saving that! On the other hand, Sienna Miller's dress is just... let's just say I wouldn't be caught dead wearing them.

Who is your best-dressed female in this year's Golden Globe Awards?

Kicking Off New Year

It seemed like just yesterday when I blogged about the new year and looked back on some of my favorites that I shared here on my blog. I can't believe that we are about to enter the third week of January 2013! Time flies, cliche as it sounds but you have to live with it or else you will miss out on a lot! I haven't had much time to sit down and do some more writing (than I was supposed to) because I was busy catching up on friends, going back to the gym, and working, of course.

Bowling with Friends

During the holiday break, I tried bowling again - this time with my friends & E. Everybody's had a pretty hectic schedule with our respective families but it was fun to squeeze in a few hours to have dinner and enjoy a few games of bowling. It was clearly as fun as last time! Would love to do it again! But yeah, me and those ugly shoes meet again!

 Back to the Gym

I have an upcoming vacation to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan and the boyf had created a workout plan for me. I need to get my beach body ready by then. Summer is also a few months away here in the Phils so I need to work double on that, too. But no complaints - loving my workout. I can't think of a better way to energize after a day's work! Here I am after one of my sessions wearing my blue sheer top - yes, I have lots of this color in my closet!

2013 People's Choice Awards

Yesterday, the 2013 People's Choice Awards was held in Los Angeles and it was a star-studded event. Glad that my favorites Christina Aguilera and the Big Bang Theory got their own respective awards as People's Voice and Best TV Comedy, respectively. I also enjoyed browsing through the red carpet fashion at the event and here are some of my favorites!

How's it going where you are? Having a great new year so far?

Tuesday Ten: Trends to Watch in 2013

There are plenty of exciting stuffs to look forward to with the new year but one of the most anticipated for fashionistas are the prevailing fashion trends. You would not want to strut trends that are long gone.To help you pick new items to add into your wardrobe this year, here are the top 10 fash trends for 2013:

1. Textured and Embellished Pieces. The floral pattern (one of my faves) has been a staple in the fashion industry and has taken on more visibility in 2012. Well, guess what? Fashion experts believe that these patterns will become more pronounced in the year 2013, although you can expect things to go over-the-top a bit with jewelled and textured details upfront

2. Bare Midriff. Make sure to stock your wardrobe on cropped tops because they are going to be a big thing, particularly in spring and summer.

3. Cropped Outerwear. Aside from a cropped top, a midriff-baring jacket or outerwear is also going to be a fashion-must this 2013.

4. Ruffles. Feminine trends has gotten women all crazed up last year but expect more of these feminine and chic styles to reign supreme in the new year.

5. Colorblock. The burst of multicolor is ideal for bringing out a fun and bubbly vibe to your look.

6. Mixed Prints. A lot of women consider this as a major fashion risk but mixing printed pieces is one of the best ways to stand out with your fashion in 2013.

7. Monochromatic. The one-color wonder remains a classic and will be taking the center stage this year.

8. Structured outfit. This is another continuing trend from last year with lots of exaggerated lines, patterns, and bigger volumes.

9. Leather. It helps to introduce more texture into the outfit while also being a flexible daytime or nighttime choice.

10. Metallic. The glimmer and all that jazz - it is all about the futuristic look.

Which of these trends are you sporting this new year?

Gift Ideas for Him

Just because the holiday season is over does not mean you can't splurge on your man's gift. If you're like me, I am not the best when it comes to buying gifts for my man, and so I need every help I can get. And in most cases, I tend to be late when giving gifts because I find it hard to choose. Or in some cases, I'm just way too hard on myself - always seeking out THE best gift to sweep him off his feet

But practical gifts that he can use for everyday will be just as appreciated. I did some shopping online a few weeks ago as I, too, was looking for the best gift for my man. If you haven't got yours a gift yet, here are some ideas for some post-holiday gifts:

Which of these do you think will make a great gift for him?
